Hello, Jaymie! Do you think the twins realize what it means that you're having a baby?

Hi there!

Um, Christian and I have tried to explain to them as well as you can to three year olds what it means that mommy’s having another baby. We’ve told them that they were babies too and we brought them home from the hospital (yes they asked how they got in mommy’s belly. We told them it’s seeds!)

We showed them Noah’s nursery and told them that is where baby brother is going to be sleeping when he’s a little older. 

They’ve been asking questions about it, so I think in their own way, they do understand, To what extent, I’m not sure, but we’re going to find out!

How do people tell the twins apart? Not how you tell them apart, because moms always can better than anyone.

At the beginning, it was very difficult, even for me sometimes (shhhh!) 

It was usually me who was pointing to one baby going “That’s Avery” or vice versa. It wasn’t until they were around 1 ish that people could tell them apart, and that’s because Adelynn’s hair has started darkening. Avery’s hair is like mine- very, very blonde, but Adelynn’s hair is beginning to get a more brunette color to it!

So now it’s definitely easier to tell them apart, even if you don’t know them all that well :)
