It was dark when Sheik managed to open the doors of the Temple of Time. It was dark and unfamiliar. The Temple seemed to have been ruined long ago, with vines and other vegetation overrunning the sacred place, and that did not fit with his memory. How long had he been asleep? The Hero had only slept for seven years. Clearly the Sheikah had slept for much longer than that. He could only guess at how long. Even the air felt different than when he had fallen asleep.
Had the goddess of Time forgotten about him? Surely she had not. Surely this was her plan. He must have been needed for some reason. Something must have happened for him to only wake now instead of earlier.
Unable to dwell on this long, Sheik could sense that he was not alone. Rarely was he ever alone, but he could sense two presences near to him. Both were powerful–and he hoped benevolent. Although his time asleep had done nothing to his body he still felt a bit stiff. That would not serve him well in a fight. He stepped forward and called, “Hello?”
