Maybe this is a hot take but I'm not mad about...

Izzy's ending. I understand the interpretation that this is a revamped/different flavor of "killing your gays" but it didn't feel like that to me.

I also understand that it can be felt as that trope that the bad ones, even after turning to the light, can only be redeemed in death. But it didn't feel that way to me.

Izzy's ending felt like retiring the old guard, passing the torch, meaningful loss and grief.

Idk maybe I'm wrong. I'm open to being wrong. Happy to consider further evidence.
