So me and my Sib (@rustedpens) have been insane about Dandy’s world recently, specifically the handlers, and we pulled an AU out of our ass.

Basically, once Arthur finds out about Gardenview’s need for a close, he vents to Delilah about how its his lifes work, how he has nothing but Gardenview and his toons. Oh, his toons.. what would he think of himself if he just.. left them? And she asks, why would they have to leave? They could stay.. right here.

They could be TOONS!! Thats a great idea.. why didn’t HE think of that? Of course, the moral implications could be.. confusing, to say the least, for the toons. They’d need to blend in.. how? By writing themselves as part of the Dandy’s World plot, of course! Now they don’t have to worry about ANYTHING.. not about the toons, not about their jobs.. not even their life, you could say!

Of course, being insane about the handlers, they drew like one million things so.. Skins!!

Hmm I wonder why that 2nd one looks off anyways here’s little scenarios!!!!

I noticed something abt ur Toon designs for Arthur and Delilah (0^0)

Delilah made the toons while Arthur did the references

so you would think Delilah would be based on science-y stuff while Arthur would be based on art equipment

But nope!! Arthur is bromine and Delilah is a note pad

was this intentional bc it’s been itching my brain for WEEKS!!!! ^(>日<)^

YES! So flad someone noticed this, its mainly to establish their bond and show that they had eachother in mind when designing their toons!

Funfact, notepads are also for writing notes in general…

Bromine was used in some old photography to help develop an image by emulsion…

So really, are they all that different from their self? (Another bond thing.. GOD I love Arthur and Delilah being bffs!!)

Hhhhhh I was a little (A LOT) nervous to ask but. Those Arthur and Delilah Toons designs have been. In my hea.d. 24/7. I’m obsessing over them so bad the writer’s urges are kicking in. Would you both be okay with like. A written fanwork about the designs? I kinda have a decent plot kicking around in my head but I wanted to get permission first hhh- sorry if this is  weird or whater I js love the designs SO MUC its actually crazy Also, sorry if this accidentally goes against anything you put on your introductory post- I read it over and over and I really hope it didn't break the dm rule in any way-

Yeah, do what you want man! We’d love to see it! Though, make sure if you’re postin it anywhere to link our post and to establish its fanwork— We DO have ideas for this thing and we’d hate for people to think its an official thing

I also have some rules— just for the public to see

No NSFW, me and my sib are minors and all characters are toons

No romance between Arthur(Bartholomew)/Delilah(Skarlet) and the other toons, they are more like parental figures to them,,

This AU will include me and my sibling’s ocs, when writing fanworks DO NOT include them in.

Don’t come to us constantly begging for answers or help with what you are creating, we are busy and have our own things going on!! More will be revealed the more we post

This is just a question. Are you gonna write a story about your Dandy’s world au the one where the creators become toons is there gonna be a bit more to the story

Writing? I could, i’ve thought about it, I’ve sort of wanted to. But I have HUGE motivation issues and the chances of this happening are slim.

Art to tell the story? Plausible maybe. This is debatable. I wouldn’t mind drawing a bit for it if someone asked, and if my sib ever gets interested again I’ll make sure to post it if they please.

I’m glad people like the idea!! Though, thats all the AU is at the moment. An idea. Feel free to try and expand on your own though!
