A bit about me... My name is Selena and I am a new textile artist. It feels strange calling myself an 'artist', but the more I make, the more I realise how happy I would be if this could become my life. I have worked in fashion, upholstery, pet clothing and trained to be an early years teacher. I've accumulated a variety of skills and knowledge, but up until recently had not found the right fit emotionally. I finally feel confident that the path I am on is perfect for me! I have never felt that before. I wake up excited, not anxious. That nagging feeling that I am not good enough, is gone! What started as a lockdown project to keep idle hands busy, has evolved into a new found love for textile sculpture. I am working hard to slowly build a name for myself. I can't yet fully rely on my sculptures for income, so my time is split between other freelancing and caring for my 3 year old boy. I hope you enjoy my work and don't mind following me as I slowly figure everything out. I am learning as I go, and am happy to share my journey. The most important lesson I have learnt so far is that there is no right way, only your way. #newartist #foundmyself #foundmypassion #smallbusinessuk #supportsmallbusiness #supporthandmade #supportsmall #supportartists #fiberartist #softsculpture #softsculptureartist #fiberart #animalsculpture #animalart #canineart #dogportraits #dogsculpture #dogart https://www.instagram.com/p/CMzUkToHGdC/?igshid=d7yefy0sw6vn
