Saving Stargate Atlantis

We lost Wraithbait, Crossroads, & Area52. Some things made it to AO3 & Dreamwidth but LJ (Fanfiction.net is just a no) remains the most complete source for early SGA Fanfic/Art.

I'm tagging old communities and accounts, lists, etc.

You can find posts in Memories, communities and authors in the subs. There are A LOT.

Go take a look before LJ purges them. This includes all genres/pairings. If you do, don't ignore the comments section! So many stories and au series were created/live in the comments. They also often contain links to more fics and some truly hilarious conversations. The comments are where the true history lives and where you'll learn what made SGA the 'fandom to beat all fandoms' *even SG-1 (seriously, it's been mentioned in academic theses).

You can find all of this saved in the memories, following, & subscribed sections.

Yes, I have started saving the fic lists to Wayback - same username - but as predicted, Wayback is being annoying (the mobile version hates me).

So I am switching to Raindrop to make a link list. Yes, that means that you will have to save the actual fic yourself. This just gives you a consolidated location to start from.

If anyone has private collections of saved fics/art that they are willing to share read-only access to, please send them my way.

If you have fic lists, please try to send me the Wayback links or a similar 'permanent' archive. We all know the tragedy of clicking a broken link.

I also ADORE essays/opinion pieces related to SGA Fandom and often share them here.

We may not manage to return to the glory of Crossroads but a connected 'library' of independent collections is possible. We don't have to rely on corporations if we work together.

it started out with separate servers, and it still is that for organization reasons, but everyone has access to all servers now bc we found keeping things separate was annoying as fuck when ppl from different parts of the team were working together

Standing in the window, N'zoth looked at the city surrounding him — understanding that it was most likely the beginning of the afternoon already as he saw the sun shining high in the sky despite the gray clouds scattered all around the blue background — and a heavy sigh lifted his chest. With the healing pouch still held against his head to tame the headache coming from the hangover, he slowly brought the apple to his mouth and took a bite from it, taking all of his time to chew and swallow it.  What has he done the night before again? He tried to remember but his memories were extremely blurry. It might have been the first time he had drank so much and actually, it wasn't as good as he thought it could be, especially that he knew something must have happened for him to have woken up with Bart. He was just hoping that the "something" wasn't sex. Looking down at the wet pavements made out of rocks, N'zoth went back in his memory in the hope to find out how the evening ended — mentally cursing the mortal brain as it wouldn't have happened if he still had his real body. He could remember the trip to Pandaria. The portal they took from Boralus to Stormwind and then Paw'don, followed by that godawful journey by kites… He wasn't going to forget that! Once they landed after his plea to just get off the inanimate object, they climbed the Veiled Stairs to reach the tavern, and there, he had a panic attack. He groaned loudly at that memory.
