Anabaptists have a lot of other views on government and church as well other than non-violence. I'm sure you're aware though
There was a few viewpoints within the early Anabaptist movement actually. Some believed in complete separation, and any involvement in government was bad, and others believed that as long as you upheld Christian morals and ethics, you could work within the government. I wouldn’t say any anabaptist church I’ve been to nowadays holds strictly to any viewpoint that says a Christian can’t hold office though. They strongly emphasize that church and state should be separate, and that christians owe no allegiance to the government because a Christian’s allegiance is with God alone. I see no problems there? It’s basically what I believe too.
Don't forget tho even though I may not be moving down to bc anytime soon, that I'm still visiting this month!!! Aj and Holly (and anyone else that wants to join)! 19-21st!!! You guys will meet my best friend!!! Save the date or else I'll be angry.
