Sharing a project sent by Mark Nicol, who was part of this team:  

Fourfoursixsix Architects, EOS and Ogle Models teamed up to create a laser-sintered egg for the Fabergé Big Egg Hunt that happened in London this Spring as part of a group of 200 unique eggs produced to raise fund for charities Action for Children and Elephant Family.

Fourfoursixsix's Daniel Welham points out that "the design works around a rational grid of components that have been configured to react to both light and scale across the surface of the egg. Each component incorporates an aperture within its design that can adjust to control the amount of light entering the internal space of the form."
