I went to a furry event in a public park with a couple friends on Saturday. Not every day you get to eat cookies, go hunting for Easter eggs full of stickers, and see a wrestling match break out between a guy and a fox all in the span of a couple hours. Highly recommend :3

Warning parents to be on the lookout for unexploded ordinance during the traditional springtime festivity, a report released Sunday by researchers at Northeastern University found that 17% of all Easter egg hunts end with a child setting off a landmine. “Our survey concluded that a young child was blown up after tripping a mine on approximately 1 in 6 occasions in which an outdoor search for eggs, candy, or other treats was held to celebrate Easter Sunday,” said report co-author Brenda Daubert, who added that the majority of detonations occurred when a child clutching a brightly colored woven basket exclaimed, “I found one! just wanna say your fanfic is fire and youre the mvp girl. anyway with it pretty much being spring season I had an idea for a tenna x reader fanfic: egg hunt around tv world but the eggs are gacha balls, and reader is in one of them so tenna can find them! I find that cute ya know

You waited patiently, trapped in plastic. Your fingers brushed the walls of your colorful cage, as you focused on your surroundings for any sound that would have revealed the TV's presence.

The rules were simple, he'd told you.

It was an egg hunt with a twist. Tenna was supposed to look for you, a special prize mixed with thousands of gatcha balls. They had been decorated to resemble eggs, and so was yours, to avoid making it stand out.

But where the others had nothing inside them, your ball had a special kind of transparent plastic that obscured the contents from the outside world. You on the other hand, were free to look around, and to roam whenever the situation called for it, simply by making the sphere roll on itself.

What fun would it have been if the win condition stayed put, ready to be found? Nope! You would have added your own spin.

"HMMMM~ I wonder where my little star has ended up!"

Whoops. You forgot to take into account that Tenna could have grown to frightening proportions only to raise the tension. And that was exactly what he'd done.

Giant steps echoed on the set that had been turned into a somewhat peaceful meadow. Carboard cutouts of bushes pathetically tried to conceal the TV's massive height from you, as you waited for the right moment to to roll away.

Tenna was looking around, and you were delightfully surprised to see him sport a light green suit, decorated by his usual accessories that were now of a pastel shade of pink. By squinting your eyes, you also spotted the painted round ends of his antennas. Both were completely white, but one was striped while the other one had colorful dots all over it. You loved how he never held himself back during the festivities, it was the reason you two were playing this game, after all.

He had a basket that housed all of the egglike-gatcha balls he managed to find, and everytime he found another one, he bent forward to pick it up.

Tenna called your name, tempting you into revealing your position.

"You can't hide forever! It's just a matter of time, sweetheart! (TV time, am I right folks?)" The host briefly whispered to no one in particular.

You waited for him to give his back to you, as he put his hands on his hips in annoyance, before you pressed your hands firmly on the plastic walls that surrounded you.

Placing them higher each time your cage rolled foward, your hands threatened to sweat when the giant TV inspected another bush that was too close to your previous hiding spot.

Once you found shelter behind another cardboard plant, you lost control of the gatcha ball, unwillingly hitting some of the eggs that had been placed next to it. You held your breath, hoping he didn't hear your accident.

Antennas straightened, exactly when he placed another gatcha ball in his giant basket.

"Oh GOLLY! They really don't wanna be found, do they?"

You couldn't help but smirk in your hand at seeing Tenna so upset over his potential loss. But right as you closed your eyes in amusement, he disappeared into thin air.

Trying not to panic, you looked around the stage. No trace of him. No sound, no smell, not even static electricity left in the air.

You tentatively moved the gatcha ball, peeking from behind the bush, exposing yourself to danger just to find where he'd gone.

Unsure whether to keep the act going, his name sat on your tongue. Was this a prank of some sort? Or did he want to play so seriously to the point of startling you to death?

You kept near your hiding spot, again looking left and right to see any sign of the previously giant television who was dead set on catching you. Your hands rested on plastic, ready for a sprint in case he started to chase you out of the blue.

"Found ya!" A whispered giggle came from behind you.

You didn't even have the time to scream before a figure gradually grew in size, catching your gatcha ball in his palm and raising you high in the air like a trophy.

Your heart fluttered in your chest, and you had to hold steady to the plastic walls of your ball to avoid jumping up because of his enthusiasm.

Your cage was held high between gloved fingers, and a screen was looking at you with pride, while the basket of eggs laid discarded on the floor with its contents had spilled all over the meadow.

"I! WIN! You shouldn't have let your guard down, little star!"

A sigh escaped your lips at being caught so easily. Tenna had probably shrunk to the size of an ant to be stealthy, and you'd fallen for it in your genuine worry.

"Alright! You win. Can you put me down now?" You smirked.

"Not yet! Not without my prize!" He lowered you into his palms, even if he really needed a single one to hold you for how big he was.

His careful digits opened the plastic with ease, and he helped you crawl out of the colorful egg that previously surrounded you. Expectantly, Tenna brought you closer to his face, and the bright glow of his screen clearly highlighted the blush on your cheeks.

"Okay. Just... don't let me fall, okay?" He nodded in agreement.

In a rush, you kissed the tip of his nose while closing your eyes.

"How is this? As a prize?"

A giant flower blinded your sight and filled your nostrils with pollen. It was so close that you were sure you got some of the yellow powder on your face, but your partner's wobbly smile was worth the trouble every, single time. You laughed tenderly at his reaction.

"Happy Easter Tenten."

"Happy Easter to you, my precious sweetheart!"
