UConn Three-Peats as Champions
For the tenth time in school history, the University of Connecticut Huskies are the NCAA Women’s Champions with their 63-53 victory over Notre Dame. Huskies coach Geno Auriemma joins John Wooden and Phil Jackson as the only coaches to win at least ten titles in major college or professional sports. Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis and Moriah Jefferson each scored 15 points to led UConn to their second championship three-peat and finish the season at 38-1. The championship trophy stays in Storrs.
