Lawliet and Star, four month old brothers, tested positive for Panleukopenia - DESPITE BEING FULLY VACCINATED. These are the fourth and fifth vaccinated cats we've had fall ill to Panleuk. Hopefully they'll survive, just like their predecessors. We're optimistic that they will, especially since we're 24+ hours in and they are only moderately ill (nausea, occasional vomiting). Most of our Panleuk victims went from vomiting to lateral positions within hours. None made it 24 hours without significant decline. It's very encouraging to see these two still alert, responsive, acting comfortable, and even cuddling with one another and rubbing up against and purring for us. 💗 To give Lolly and Star the best chance of survival, we're not just keeping them warm and comfortable with anti-nausea meds; we're also giving them fluids subcutaneously.
