Growing up in Biancaneve, Megara would have never thought of a life beyond her royal duties. Being the younger sister to the Charming Brothers, Megara was a prize jewel of the kingdom. More often than not she had been paraded around town in fancy dresses to show that the royal family was one to be admired. When she hit sixteen years old, her mother informed her that she was set to marry a neighboring prince - Prince Philip. Though she knew it wasn’t for love - Meg would do anything for her family so betrothed to the prince she became. The princess, determined to be the perfect future wife, started to spend summers in Reign in order to get to know her future husband, his wants, his needs. It was during her third summer in Reign - and her summer before getting married - when a witch came to the castle trying to curse the prince and take his life so she could be queen. In a split moment, Meg was offered the chance by Hades to protect her prince against the witch - and because she had fallen for both the man and had such love for her family - she did it. Her soul upon death for the Princes saved life. When Meg came back from the trade with Hades, she not only saw her Prince alive and well…but also with his new Princess, Aurora. Heartbroken, Meg now became enslaved to the King of the Underworld. To the world above, Meg ‘died’ in Reign - causing her own kingdom of Biancaneve to go into great mourning and a bitterness to grow between the two kingdoms. Jaded, Meg would do anything the man asked knowing she didn’t have any hope over anything else - that was until she met Hercules. The man not only put his life on the line for her, multiple times, but he also ended up saving her. Being granted her mortal life once more, Meg with her new husband - Hercules - headed towards Biancaneve where she was welcomed home with open - but skeptical - arms. That was until the curse. The moment that the world turned - Hercules was called up to Mount Olympus in Reign to fight the demons all over the mortal and non mortal world. The last thing that Meg and Hercules said to each other were bitter words. Her saying he didn’t chose his wife over everything. Him saying she was selfish for wanting him to. This left the Princess to try and fit back into a princess role, without her husband, and with no clue of who she is anymore.

While his brother was dealing with the princely duties of the Charming family, the Prince busied himself with learning to fight and fend for himself, spending more time in the villages then in the castle. He always figured his brother would get married and pass on their family line, love wasn’t something he had time for nor did he want to marry a princess. That is, until he heard a song that drew him, along with several woodland animals, in towards a beautiful woman with skin as white as snow. He instinctively helped her finish her song and fell for her without hesitation. From that day, his only dream was to marry this woman and live a life with her for the rest of eternity. His dream was interrupted by the news that she had been put under a sleeping curse and she was impossible to wake. There was not a moment to waste, he rode to the glass case she was kept in and shared in True Love’s Kiss, awaking her from her slumber. As soon as she awoke, the two got married and took Snow White’s castle back from the Evil Queen, living in a happily ever after together. At least, that’s how it started, it shifted very quickly when the kingdom began turning its back on his wife, saying she was no longer the fairest of them all and that she didn’t deserve the crown. No matter how much he tried to console her, he couldn’t have stopped her from fleeing the castle into the deep woods. He went after her and found the world had grown dark quickly, monsters were covering the lands and he found himself having to become a hunter once more. Only this time, it wasn’t for things like deer, it was for wolves the size of men and human-looking monsters with fangs. He fought his way to find his wife, but when he found her she looked nothing like the woman he’d loved so deeply. Her skin was paler and she seemed so animalistic, the innocent, dainty wife he had now replaced. Nonetheless, he spoke sweet words to her, approaching with caution as to not startle her, just as he would a deer. The next second, everything happened so fast and her canine teeth grew into fangs right before she lunged at him. He knocked her off as gently as he was able and stared at her in awe, had she become one of the monsters the world was plagued with? It didn’t matter to him, she was his wife, the love of his life, and he would forever fight for her. Before he could say another word, she had run off again. He then decided that he had to continue looking for her, and on the way he would destroy any sign of evil he found so that when he brought her home, it would be a safe place for her to return to.

The Evil Queen was the fairest of them all, there was no doubt about it. In her mind, she was the most beautiful, powerful woman in all of the lands and everyone wished to bow at her feet. However, her story did not go that way. The darling Snow White got in her way, and despite The Evil Queen’s greatest attempts, held her title as the fairest and got the ending of her dreams. Defeated by angry dwarves, she was thrown from a cliff and sustained injuries that would have killed someone who was not as powerful as the queen. She survived, barely, but when she returned home, it was no longer hers and she had lost everyone that was supposedly on her side, except her Magic Mirror. The mirror was waiting for her as it always did, a slave incapable of doing anything but. She took it away and began plotting ways to destroy Snow White, every day she would ask the mirror the same question, “Who is the fairest of them all?” but the answer never changed. The mirror was one of the first beings to learn of the discovery of the 10th kingdom and all of the glory that lie in it, meaning Evil Queen was one of the first to learn of the Wishing Well that seemingly had powers that even outweighed her own. She was the first villain to arrive at the well and she made her wish instantly, she wanted to be, undoubtedly, the fairest woman that had ever walked these kingdoms. Her wish was granted and she instantly aged backwards, her face shifting exactly to her liking, there would be no doubt now who held the title. With her new form, she took on a new name to disguise herself. This was just the beginning in her eyes, though, she couldn’t just be beautiful. She had to be powerful, she had to take the happily ever afters of everyone that had gained theirs, she had to gain control over everything and everyone. It didn’t matter what it took, she would manipulate through any means necessary, even if it meant using her newfound body or murdering a few innocents along the way. Quickly after her journey began, she learned of a gift she held, seduction. Men were instantly drawn to her and were drawn into a trace where they would do anything she asked and be unable to think of anything but her. This would be one of her most useful gifts, taking Prince Eric hostage to her whim, a toy to learn of her powers and their extents.

Without even knowing it, Snow White had always been the fairest of them all. She was not only that, but the kindest, most innocent heart in all of the lands. Her encounter with the Evil Queen did not seem to take a toll on her whatsoever, even after dealing with a huntsman and going into hiding, she still withheld her glow that made her so pure. She received her happily ever after, moving back into the castle with her true love and all of her new dwarf friends. Only did the wear and tear on her heart truly begin to show when the world turned their back on her, not seeing her as the fairest of them all anymore but as a woman who did not belong in the throne. Snow did the only thing she could do, she ran away, back into the forests hoping to find the cottage that she had once found refuge at. Before she even arrived there, she was bitten by a monster that looked almost human. The effects took place over the next few days, her skin became even paler and her gums were raw from fangs shooting out then hiding back in. Not only did she know a new type of hunger, but she became ravenous in her new predicament. The woodland creatures she had once sung to were now prey to feed her craving for blood, and now only one thing could fill her mind: The Evil Queen. The woman who had originally tried so hard to ruin her life, she must have been the culprit of this, of everything! There was only one way to fix everything and that was to kill the Queen, any innocence in her heart had faded and she had lost any sense of reason. Her new mission was simple, she would find Grimhilde and make her suffer for the wrongs she had done until she made everything right once more. At the beginning of her new resolve, a man appeared before her and attempted to reason with her. He seemed so kind, but stern as he moved closer to her, saying sweet things of taking her back home and making things right. Before she even noticed it was her husband, her fangs appeared and she had lunged at him. He knocked her off and the look on his face was enough to shake something in Snow’s core, making her ashamed of the kind of person that she was becoming. In fear of hurting him again, she ran away again, this time far away from the home she had once knew and she blocked out all the thoughts that were begging her to return, not only to the castle, but to who she used to be. She was too deep into this new self to change, the only way was to find that evil woman and set things right.

After losing her slave of a step-daughter, Lady Tremaine felt as though her future had been taken from her and her actual daughters. She was appalled and took it out on Anastasia and Drizella for ‘not making sure the prince had fallen for them’. She made them slaves in their own home and rarely left her room, spending most days wallowing in her own self-pity and dreaming of a life of royalty. Even at a very young age, she had always wished to live a royal life, with maids, servants, and a prince to love and adore her as a man should. As a young woman, this choice was never offered to her so she settled for Cinderella’s father simply because he had a sliver of income that would at least allow her to treat herself as she deserved. The ball had been her chance, if only her daughters had fulfilled their duties and brought home an engagement ring, then they could have all moved to the castle and been the queens they were. There was nothing left to live for. That is, until one day she chose to leave her room and heard her daughters whispering of a rumor that had been flooding through town and supposedly, all the kingdoms. The rumor was of a Wishing Well that had the power to grant anyone’s deepest desires and change their destinies. It was the best news she had heard since they received that letter to attend the prince’s ball. She set out to find the portal in the deepest of woods, travelling through and making the wish that had lived in her heart ever since that dreadful day. She wished to go back to the day of the ball to be the one the prince really wanted. The wish was granted and everyone was transported back to the day of the ball, though what she hadn’t accounted for was that she had turned into a doppelganger of Cinderella. It was the perfect wish, she locked Cinderella into a closet and disappeared to the ball, where she wooed Prince Charming to the best of her abilities and was soon married, under the new name Cinderella Tremaine. She now had the life she’d always planned for herself, the crown was all hers and the only thing standing in her way was her darling husband. Though, he soon would no longer be an issue, a plan brewing in her mind to end his life, making her the single heir and ruler over these lands. His disappearing acts proved to make it all the more challenging, constantly going out to hunt the monsters that were plaguing the land. Though she wanted nothing more than to take his life and his happy ending in one stroke, one morning he failed to return home from his hunts. She took it as an omen from the gods and gained complete control over the Charming kingdom, taking it so far as to enslave the members of the kingdom and disregard the monsters that were clawing at her gates. Inside the castle walls, she created a paradise for herself, though she couldn’t shake the nagging question in the back of her mind, where was the real Cinderella? In hasty fear of a woman who looked exactly like her showing up and taking what she had worked so hard for, she rounded up every last soldier in her control and set out with them to find and murder her imposter.
