-chin in hands- tell me about Fox Fletcher
OH HI HELLO
okay so he's the protag of my novel WIP Love at the End (and has been for five years gee whiz). Fox was raised by his father, Dominic Fletcher, the leader of the Black Hand resistance against the crown. His mother, on the other hand, is the former crown princess, now Queen Calpurnia Hemming.
They got married in secret long ago, when the king was Calpurnia's tyrant uncle, but the idea of overthrowing him by any means necessary went to Dominic's head and he fell back into the life he ran away from. (IM ON A TANGENT BUT YOU ASKED ABOUT FOX HANG ON)
So Fox grows up in an underground base, extremely gifted in making new technologies and especially Weapons, so Dominic keeps him busy making new things to fight against the royal forces with. He's a terrible abusive father, and Fox keeps running away, but he never gets farther than the surface over the base.
Until Lydia, a runaway soldier who got tangled in the criminal life, gives him an exit and an address to find shelter, and he takes it. He winds up meeting Copper and Fitz, who are looking for their long thought dead sister and also for clues about the dead prince. (The queen has secretly been telling people to look for Fox since he and Dominic disappeared)
Fox doesn't understand who he is or who sent him here, and he makes a deal with Copper and Fitz to help him make a life on the outside if he shows them how to break into the base he ran away from.
In all the commotion in the break in, Fox gets left behind while Copper and Fitz rescue Lydia against her will.

long story short, he's a sweetheart who's terribly broken and looking for someone safe and a way out of his life.
