This is a wet and soggy Ezo red fox in the rain. The father fox, who usually only comes to the den after dark, appeared during the day. The parent foxes are cooperating in raising their young.

 父ギツネは今までは暗くならないと巣穴には来なかったのですが、昼間に現れました。 

親ギツネは協力をして子育てをしています。

Set up a trail camera about 3 weeks ago now and two days ago I changed where I put it since I was only getting footage of our horses. And last night I got footage of one of our local foxes for the first time !!! I’ve been watching them ever since moving here ~8 years ago and it’s so cool to finally have footage of one.

I’ve neber heard foxes before. The sound they make were referenced a “barking” and “yapping” in literature, but this is not that I’ve imagined. That’s a very nice screeching.
