A fox mask? A unique mask that could mean plenty of things. Even though there is no festival around, what was the exact meaning of wearing one in public, this late at night at a time like this? Was it to grab attention? if that’s the case, it certainly was working. Enough for a demon to ask ‘why’. Yushiro’s eyes didn’t leave the other before a thought came to mind. ‘What is this girl even doing up around this time? There seems to be something unnatural about her, but even an idiot should know to not be out this late.’

It had only been a few days in this place, and the boy already had his fair share of odd encounters and strange scenarios that would linger in the back of his mind.

No- he had to ask. He had to know what the hell she was doing out so late! Even if the same could be said for him, but they were different species, that shouldn’t be a problem at all.

“If you are just here to grab someone’s attention, it’s best me then someone that would be out to harm someone for fun. You never even know what this island is like unless you’ve lived here. Should you at least be more cautious on your time of outing? Seriously. It’s how someone like yourself could just endanger yourself- or others around.” Now he’s off lecturing his thoughts to the stranger that, he would hope, would see what he sees and go back home.

muichiro was distracted, mint orbs staring up at the clouds from the unfamiliar sky. she was rather small, perhaps almost as small he was yet the demon slayer did not see her at all. the first thing he had noticed before anything else was her clothes, flower patterned kimono that seemed fitting within his own era. with his expression blank, he blinks, trying to regain his own composure. “oh, sorry. i didn’t see you, you were going pretty fast. you look so small.” his gaze shifted from the girl to the strange fox mask that was sitting on the side of her head. muichiro stretches out his arm, his finger which attempted to poke at it. “what’s the mask? is that supposed to me a--”
