Hiding face in neck for bucktommy 💙
Buck comes home from a shift, absolutely dead to the bone, but somehow still feeling quite content with life.
It was a busy shift. Non-stop calls to the point where Buck's pretty sure he's only had around three hours of sleep in the entire 24 hour shift, but they were all relatively simple and with happy endings.
It made Buck feel fulfilled and reminded him of why he loves his job. Even if he feels two steps away from just collapsing on the spot.
Tommy's there to greet him though and oh, Buck missed Tommy. They've only been apart for thirty hours, but that feels like a lifetime.
Instantly Buck falls onto Tommy, burying his face into his neck and letting his body sag.
Tommy catches him, hands already coming to massage the tight knot in his back shoulder without him even asking.
Buck sighs, sinking further into him and breathing in deeply. Tommy must've just showered. His skin is still damp and Buck can smell the pine of his shampoo.
"I love you," Buck mumbles into Tommy, suddenly overwhelmed with just how much affection he feels for him.
He can't see it, but he can hear Tommy's smile as he replies, "I love you too, babe. You have a good shift?" "Yeah, actually." Buck replies, breathing another content sigh. "Just tired."
Tommy's hands come to his curls, scratching them gently and Buck feels a shiver run down his spine. "C'mon, let's get you to bed."
Buck whines, keeping his face pressed hidden in Tommy's neck. "Mm don't wanna move."
"The bed is much comfier, Evan." Tommy coaxes, and he does have a point, but Buck doesn't think he'll be able to move ever again.
"Mm you're comf'," Buck mumbles and honestly falling asleep where he stands does not sound like a bad idea.
He can feel the Tommy's chest vibrate with his laughter and it feels warm. "Evan."
"'mmy."
Tommy starts to pull away and Buck makes an displeased noise, though doesn't do anything as he doesn't have the energy to fight.
Tommy keeps his hands on his shoulders, effectively keeping him upright, as he looks at Buck with an soft expression. "You got this." "I hate you," Buck says without any heat.
"I love you too," Tommy replies without missing a beat, and then he's lightly tugging Buck to their bedroom.
