tw// vent !! discussion of not supporting alterhumanity + general unhappy talk

i wish i had irl therian/alterhuman friends. i don't have the confidence to wear gear in public or try quads without support, and my only nonhuman friend irl i can't see often because of personal circumstances (transportation, different schools, social availability, etc). my partner also doesn't really understand nonhumanity and it makes me feel a little yucky. he said something a while ago implying that he didn't take my nonhumanity seriously and just didn't say anything, even though i asked him a few times to make sure he really didn't think that i was weird. it makes me worried to talk to him about it, which sucks because it's a huge part of me. im sure that, with time, we'll come to an understanding, but it sucks right now. plus i just dont live in a very friendly area and can't drive, so i cant get to good quad spots without someone taking me, and my family doesn't know about my alterhumanity. im not worried about them judging me (my momma loves the masks that ive made and bought me my first tail), i just don't want to explain all of it. it's just frustrating not having a community irl. i wish i could meet other critters like me without worrying about being mistreated :<

sorry for the unhappy post! im just feeling particularly lonely today. ill feel better with time + have plans this weekend that will cheer me up!
