Repeat offenses and the magnitude of the game in which the violation occurred make this not the same as those at all.
But it's still breaking the rules? Is there an official procedure for punishment pertaining to additional offenses or game setting? I'm not familiar with the NFL's penal policies, so I'm just questioning this for consistency's sake.

Also what past occurrences are you referring to?
According to hearsay this has happened in the past (which much less coverage/reaction) but I can't find any details because any search results are dominated by this story right now. But if it's true that there has been previous cases that were investigated and punished, then I say that's the punishment precedent.
Otherwise, there's analysts/former QBs now claiming that they've deflated balls to preference and know that others do as well and that it's just a thing that you do. So it can be assumed that this happens more than just during Sunday's game but no one notices, reports it, or cares. It could have happened in other big games. So how does the NFL go about addressing this in a consistent, bureaucratic sense?
I say should the Patriots be found guilty, this should be the case that initiates the creation and enforcement of specifics in relation to ball tampering and it's subsequent punishment, as well as tighter inspection and supervision, but anything direly harsh may be questionable.
