foxtrotsky replied to your post:i don't mean to bother you, but why is it okay for you to convert to Judaism but not okay for someone to convert to hinduism?
(Fellow jewish convert here), from what I am given to understand, judaism is an open religion that allows conversion, while I believe hinduism does not allow for conversion? I could be wrong about hinduism but judais for sure does conversion.
That's what I thought IRT hinduism, but I was't sure.

im also decidedly hourglassy, when i gain weight it tends to be equally distributed, when i was at my heaviest the extra tended to stay in my hips & thighs. but when i lose weight, i lose it in my waist/stomach area first. bodies are weird as fuck.
They really are. Fucking genetics. :-P
foxtrotsky replied to your post “I don’t understand how a shirt that made me look more slender than I...”
could it be that your body shape has changed since losing weight?
Hmm, maybe. I've always had an hourglass shape. I mean, I'm not super tall (5'3" and a little bit), so when I was heavier it was still an hourglass, but, you know, kinda squashed so that the middle bit was very wiiiide. :) I gain and lose weight equally all over my body, but when I was at my heaviest I carried a lot in my stomach because there wasn't really anywhere else for it to go.

exactly like i dislike umbrella terms in general because the way i experience erasure and biphobia is very different than the homophobia/lesbophobia that a lesbian woman experiences and umbrella terms generally just erase experiences and realities.
yeah. like, again, queer is still a slur and i think a lot of younger people (i've never seen anybody over the age of 18 or so use "queerphobia") have a hard time remembering that? i mean, obviously i'm young too, but because i've never really felt "connected" to the idea of being queer (i'll use it linguistically if i need to, but my irl friends are alwaaaays getting on me for not feeling comfortable identifying other people as queer) i really can't dissociate it from the slur. and then there's also the whole issue of "what do straight people do" if we start discussing it as "queerphobia" i literally never want to hear that phrase exit a straight person's mouth.

also tbh pisses me off when people use “queerphobia” to describe biphobia like NO biphobia is VERY different that homophobia or transphobia etc like let’s just call it what it is. i dislike that term the same way i dislike “problematic”.
yeah nooo. i mean, in my brain there's like homophobia which is used for the entire community because that's the fucking accepted term. (same way antisemitism is used for the entire jewish community and not for other semitic communities, because of fucking etymology). and biphobia is specific to bi (and pan/poly too i suppose) people and others who are attracted to multiple genders. and lesbophobia is specific to lesbians (and at times bi women, depending on the specific nature of it ig). but queerphobia is literally never necessary and i just find it really gross.

oh wait ok sorry i missed the first part. i was ready to go into warrior mode.
It was just a nightmare, thank G-d, because I'm not in the mood for dealing with fat shaming today anyhow.

what???? people do that shit???? is there a manager’s manager you can call? that’s straight up nastiness and someone needs to get in trouble for it.
Yes, it's happened before in real life, but this time it was in a nightmare.
Not real life.
So no one to get in trouble here.
