Fellow confronts Swing about the earlier incident and sets ground rules
Bet (Mature)
TW: Talk about sex
WC: 637
Fellow stared up at the dark ceiling, kept awake by the racing thoughts of what transpired earlier today. He was very thankful that Yuu had the forethought to send Gidel away to Heartslabyul for their unbirthday party. Speaking of the boy, he was sound asleep next to Fellow's side, blissfully unaware of the plight his brother was going through. Sighing to himself, the fox beastman quietly and slowly slipped from bed before departing the room. Gently closing the door behind him, Fellow crept down the hallway while avoiding both the squeaky floorboards and Rollo's room. Eventually, he stood outside of Swing's room and mentally prepare himself.
"Is he even awake?" Fellow muttered, orange eyes snapped down to the bottom of the door to see a faint glow of the TV. "...He might be." He knocked on the door. "Swing?"
Fellow waited a few seconds, ears twitching as he caught the small sound of a lock clicking open. He opened it and his voice caught in his throat as he saw Swing. The ancient fae was shirtless as he lay propped up against the pillow, burly and hairy chest out on full display, with the remote to the TV in his hand. Seeing him in the bed, Fellow glanced to his left to see the Centipede tattoo hovering nearby.
"Late meetin', Foxy." Swing smirked. "What can Mr. Swing do for ya?"
"We need to talk."
"About?"
"What happened in the game room."
"Oh." He scratched at his chest. "What about it?"
"What do you mean, 'what about it?'" Fellow's eye twitched.
"Just a bet."
"That ended in you railing me." His tail flicked around in irritation. "You lose, like, three games and the moment you make that bet, you win?" Fellow crossed his arms. "You hustled me just for sex."
"Hustlin' implies I acted like I was bad." Swing sat up as his tattoo closed the door. "Mr. Swing is good, but you're somethin' else, Foxy. Really had to focus on that game."
"Yet you won."
"Got lucky." He pointed at him. "You're here for somethin' else and it ain't the game."
"...Friends with Benefits. That's what Beastmaster called us."
"You wanna actually be it?"
"...." Fellow looked off to the side as he seemed to debate it.
"If not, go for someone else. That lion guy, maybe?"
He shook his head. "No, he's Beastmaster's and I ain't trying to step on their toes." Swing opened his mouth but Fellow cut him off. "No to the staff, not my type."
"And you sayin' I am?" He smirked. "'m flattered."
Fellow rolled his eyes. "...Listen, I'm not saying you were good or anything-"
"Your moans say otherwise."
"-but we're establishing some ground rules." He continued through gritted teeth and folded back ears.
"Fine, fine."
"This stays casual." He pointed at Swing and then himself. "I ain't trying to catch feelings."
"Ditto."
"Next, you're gonna soundproof the room." Swing smirked and Fellow had to resist smacking it off of him. "And finally... we need a safe word." Swing raised an eyebrow. "I don't know how crazy you're going to get and I want a 'Get out of Jail' free card."
"Stop ain't enough?"
"...I mean... sometimes I don't want to stop, but I want you to slow down. Got it?"
"So, what? Like a light system?" The fae scratched his beard. "Red light, green light? That kinda shit?"
"Yeah, like that." Fellow crossed his arms and turned on his heel towards the door. "Now that everything is established, I going back to bed-"
"You ain't gonna stay with Mr. Swing~?"
The fox beastman glanced over his shoulder as Swing lifted up the covers. The conman's voice caught in his throat as he stared at him.
I saw your FwB of fellow and swing would swing be more over protective of fellow and Gino especially after book 7
He very much would.
But to everyone outside Ramshackle, it's just normal Swing being protective after the events. Ramshackle knows better due to how often Swing just ends up staying with Gidel and Fellow in their room over his own.
