i just read chapter 17 (of 18 atm) of wasting beats of this heart of mine and let me just say

I HAVE SO MANY EMOTIONS HELP THIS IS SO GOOD AND SO WELL WRITTEN THE STORY IS SO THOROUGH AND IT DESERVES TO BE ITS OWN BOOK THAT I WOULD BUY. I haven’t read a book with such an amazing premise AND good writing in such a long time. im writing this now because i have one chapter left to read and will likely be experiencing fic withdrawal for the next several days, and i thank you for this experience.

Ahhhh thank you so much! I'm so glad you think the story is good enough to be its own book. I've honestly been writing it like it is a novel in my mind, and it's honestly such a relief that all my struggles and hard work are paying off.

wasting beats is by far the most ambitious thing I've ever made, because although I've dabbled in writing historical novels before (and floundered multiple times), there's even more to juggle between the story of Hades and the world of the surface. The question of giving up everything you are for the barest chance of changing your fate is a really interesting one, isn't it?

Honestly, when it completes, I would love to create a little free ebook version with a cute cover and nice formatting for the footnotes or something, if people are interested. But that's still a long way off haha!
