Bits and Pieces
You put me together piece by piece, tightening the gears ever tighter. I can hear your soft voice boom ever louder as the soft hum of my chemical heart starts to waver. Slowly the waver turns to a smooth tune and I can feel each beat send your blood sweat and tears through my system. I twitch and fidget and blink my sockets only to see nothing. A tilt of my head as you giggle from excitement and I hear you reach over for something. With a soft pat on my head you place the round bulbous orbs into their place. A click here and a few mechanics twisting together I blink...then blink again as the mix colors of blue and green fill my vision. Slowly your face becomes clear, your intent gaze making my new heart stutter from what most would be called nervous. What will be my job? Will I do you proud? With another pay on the head as you stand, I'm lifted from under my arms to be set on my feet on the cool stone ground. Tacking each new sensation I miss you walk away only when I hear my name do I look up at you at the door waiting for me. Happiness fueling me I run after you not caring what would happen or what I was meant to do anymore.
