What is Discord?
To those that don't know what Discord is, if you go by the site's explanation it's an "all-in-one voice and text chat for gamers that's free, secure, and works on both your desktop and phone," but can be used for more than just gamers. Plus, FR is a game, after all.

What is the Friend Rising Community Like?
The server has grown quite a bit since this was first posted and we are now a medium-sized server of almost 500 members. The server is open to suggestions to improve and make the place a better and more welcoming server. While we don't publicly take suggestions anymore, staff's DMs are always open for any suggestions or help within the server and we'll do our best to make the environment a welcoming place for you.
We have an encouraging and caring community of casual to hardcore players, writers, artists and more! Many members are more than willing to help members out with any issues they have with FR, whether it be with figuring out G&G or common FR terminology. We're extremely welcoming, and happily accepting anyone who comes our way into our community of dragon-loving individuals.
What Type of Channels Does Friend Rising Have?
We have a wide variety of channels dedicated to Flight Rising such as a place to show off your dragons, a channel to share art that you have made or bought, lore and coding focused channel, a coliseum channel to talk about the coli & ask for help, and more. We also have channels dedicated to all types of sales, rentals, and advertisements. The server does have several off-topic channels as we all have various interests besides FR!
Events in Friend Rising:
We have our own version of theme week in the server where every week members in the server share dragons that relate to the current theme week. Members are encouraged to react with positive emojis to their favorites and can talk about them in a discussion channel. This event offers no rewards as it is purely for fun and appreciation over all different types of dragons!
Every week, a weekly lore question is asked to those in the lore & coding channel - it can vary from random Clan interactions to FR events (Gaolers & how their arrival impacts your Clan). Dom is given its own specific channel where staff ping a specific role (Dom Updates) and members can talk about both upcoming and current dom battles!
We also have temporary events for members of the server, such as Secret Santa. Currently, we are holding our summer Secret Santa event (but unfortunately joining is now closed). In the winter we will bring it back even bigger, though!
Recently, we started up a monthly coliseum bingo event for members of the server to participate in! More info on this event can be found in the server.
As we grow and progress as a server, we will be bringing in even more upcoming events for everyone in the server to have a chance at participating in.
