I had a friend ask what plugins and outboard gear I use when recording drums. It may come as a surprise, but I mainly use the @fractalaudiosystems AxeFXIII when adding effects/plugins to anything I record. • • So here’s a little video adding some slap back echo and plate reverb to some drums I recorded the other day. You can add compression, and any other effects you want to anything you record in your DAW, just like your favorite plugins or outboard gear - except with a massive amount of tweakability. • • Print the effect on to the track or send as an effect bus and blend in to your tracks or anything else you can imagine. • • The AxeFx III isn’t just for guitar players.
