Done for a uni project to create a scene with multiple characters, not super happy with this since I rushed myself after going through multiple different compositions and ideas, so poses and expressions aren’t pushed or drawn as well as I hoped. Might redo it in the future given more time just to feel better about it, though it was fun to venture more into character interaction and creating scenes!
Fragmi and Elli N, a couple of gals that work at Little Mite Diner! Gonna write a bit about these guys while I'm at it too: Fragmi is a mysterious bomb robot and the owner's pet. She does the bare minimum at the diner, just enough to look like she's working. She really should have been fired by now honestly, but the owner values her for some reason and probably won't bother. Fragmi finds a number of ways to entertain herself while she's slacking off, such as distracting her co-workers and wandering around the diner giving people funny looks (both of which she has been told off for multiple times).
Her co-worker Elli N, on the other hand, is a much harder worker, and is more than happy to work overtime if it'll help. She really wants people to like and accept her to the point of becoming a doormat at times, and tries extra hard to please them. However, her patience and tolerance for bullshit has earned her Fragmi's friendship, who seems to get on with her really well. Elli dreams of owning a house beside the sea one day, but for now she's toughin' it out (Day 15 of Inktober 2017)
Finished colours for Fragmi! I wanted to avoid using just one colour like before, so I tried to give her a more interesting palette that looks a little more grenadey... or something. I spent way too long trying to find colours that clicked, but now I've got something I think I'm happy with!
Rough ref stuff for Fragmi, an anarchy-loving bomb robot that gets a kick out of pranking people and setting things on fire. Still can't quite draw her in a way that I'm happy with, but it's a start I guess!
A revision of Fragmi for the Bomb Appetit comic idea I tossed around. I wanted to make her bigger and shorter, as well as simplify the unnecessary details. I’ve had it in mind to rectify her design since the first picture, but for some reason it took me this long to actually bother lol
Still not quite final but it’s a better representation of her for now
