Mothers 2021: Erin Elberts & Arissa Fralheind Erin Elberts didn't plan on having kids or falling in love, her life was too much of a hustle and bustle - once she graduated university, she was touring, singing, recording and became a rockstar. She had a few flings before that but had her heart broken, and figured that was it. Until she met Arissa Fralhiend, by happenstance, one day backstage. You see, Arissa was a roadie for the rock tour Erin was on that summer. Arissa was beautiful and shy, but really strong and good at moving equipment around. Erin admired her and struck up a conversation, which turned into an invitation to dinner, which turned into a make out session and the rest is history. When Erin retired from touring to focus on more on studio albums, she bought a mansion in Memosa Bay and invited Arissa to live with her. Arissa felt that the home was too big for just two people and she was lonely when Erin spent long days in recording. So she suggested to adopt an orphan. Erin wasn't that keen on the idea but agreed because it would make Arissa happy to have company and care for someone, and it'd be nice for an orphan to get out of the adoption pool which was akin to limbo. So, they adopted Allyna. Allyna was a quiet child, but slowly came out of her shell. She endeared herself to Erin and Arissa with her interest in music as that was the industry they worked in. Arissa outwardly shows more affection and adores when Allyna calls her 'mom' but Erin is a lot more chill and just prefers to be called by her name. She'd pat Allyna on the head and say 'good job, kid' when Allyna showed her report card from school. Whereas Arissa would bake her cookies and help her with her homework and fuss over her before a school dance. Erin paid for Allyna's college, knowing she'd like the experience and it would help her have more opportunities in the real world after. It was a slow start but both women love their daughter very much!
