W3 - FRAME YOUR SUBJECT -
I decided to use the human body in it most natural light and put it at one with nature. The Garden of Eden was the inspiration for this shoot as I planned to include these beautiful flowers on a scene of nothing more bare than exposed skin. I felt that the way the flowers drew attention to certain placements of the image, guided the viewer’s eye in a frame of how to look at these images. Frames usually outline the picture, here i used the flowers as frames, giving way to an infinite path of colour, skin and a direct link to nature.
@esherphotography For the title of "Frame your subject" I chose to use a mirror as a way of symbolising this. The tone and overall message of this shoot was insecurity and and low self-esteem and how people view themselves. I also chose the mirror due to it showing the individuals reflection, however how many people see a different image to the next person, what some people class as beauty is not necessarily what others do too. The images show my model preparing herself before she leaves her home, however the shoot contains an obvious tone of depression and resentment. I was inspired to base a shoot on this due to the rising amount of people being obsessed with their appearance and feeling the desperate need to erase or fix it, even if there was never an obvious issue to start with.
Frame Your Subject...
For this shoot I chose the subject of ‘eyes’ to frame. I had the model use his hands to frame his eyes in different ways, and capture them in different angles.

Frame Your Subject
for this shoot, I was inspired by some of the album cover artwork produced by the musicians 'disclosure.' their signature artwork features a simple line drawing of a face, which overlays the faces in their photographs. in response to this I have captured black and white portraits of my model, and outlined the contours of her face and body using fluorescent acrylic paint. this links to the title of 'frame your subject' as the lines I have painted frame my model and make her the main focal point.

Animals can live in many different environments, the purpose of the animal can define this. For guard dogs, some might live in large cages and always in the outdoors, while some might be for enjoyment and entertainment purposes, therefore live in the household. The look in this dog’s eyes pulled me in to feel his pain and emotion. “The eyes are the windows to the soul”, this quote really reflect this photograph, as both the photographer and the audience, all of my attention is concentrated on the eyes, nothing more. They force you into reading the story behind the image. I believed this worked well with this weeks title, ‘Frame you subject’; the green bars on the outer cage are out of focus create a barrier between the audience and the subject. Overall, this creates a larger need to understanding the photograph to the full extent, soulely due to the depth of field of the bars.
Week 3- frame your subject Model- Becky Wenlock Photographer- Georgia Gilson This week I used vaseline to frame my subject by putting it around the front of the lens of the camera. My intent was to make it convey that the subject was being followed and watched. @esherphotography
