Regardless. i will start tagging those posts with 'fran ocs' in case any of you wants to blacklist it.

Narrator 1: number 11, 19 and 45

Narrator 2: number 40, 22 and 7

Jakfkddn themmm something tells me you didn't ask me about them before because you werent aware of them, or you didn't know how to refer to them which, valid, Idk how to refer to them either.

The "narrators" don't have names and are basically the "main characters" in my current WIP. The reason they lack proper names is that I couldn't think of names for a while and nothing fits, BUT ALSO I want them to feel relatable and a bit like blank slates, and I want to explore the different contexts in which we don't call someone by their name even if we do know what it is. So yeah, formally let's just go by narrator 1 and 2

Summary (bc they have main character privileges and I have thought about them for a while):

Narrator 1: in general they're decently logical, not too confident because of unspoken guilt, and sort of adventurous.

Narrator 2: sometimes spontaneous, not introverted at all, and not really admired.

Narrstor 1:

11 - logical: they're prone to daydreaming and thinking of hypotheticals, but they're definitely logical. They're quick to draw conclusions from what they know, figure out more complex or abstract ideas and take decisions based on that. I'd say they got that pretty well.

19 - confident: HHHH not very. One of the issues of this character is that they've always explored different possibilities but they still have not found their calling in life or an identity to stand by. They can get a bit self-conscious and try to seek approval from others to both know what they're good at and who they should strive to be. HOWEVER, part of this... lack of confidence comes from [redacted] which they tried hard to suppress but it may become relevant for the story soon. They feel guilty of something and that regret is still carrying even when they're not fully aware of what it is.

45 - Adventurous: Between N1 and N2, N1 is the one that feels more drawn to explore other places and is the best prepared to do so. They're not a great fighter though, even if they're pretty resilient. Still, this whole idea of going around the kingdom and seeing the places they used to know after so long since anyone took care of the place is super intriguing to them. They also enjoy the idea of walking everywhere, to get a good look at everything around them and create a good mental picture of the world around them. They'd love to be the guy you could ask about a place and they could response "Oh I know everything about this!" and just infodump tips about the place.

Narrator 2:

40 - spontaneous: Yeah! They're quick to think and come up with ideas whenever there are several viable paths. As long as they're in terrritory that's somewhat faimilar for them they'll be fine! I'd say they're both creative in what they say, like coming up with a comeback in an argument, and in solving some practical problems. They're not much for overthinking things and prefer to just go with the flow and hope they made the right call.

22 - introverted: Naaaah they're on the extroverted side. They can do small talk with anyone, they had a few share of friends and were in general a joy to be around. Still, everything that's happened to them kind of makes them look back on those days with a hint of nostalgia, because the world feels too broken for that part of them to be relevant. Sure they're an extrovert but why does that matter? Better make sure to make it through the day.

7 - admired: Again they're very average for a bug. I feel like it sounds boring on the outside but it's a bit of The Point for this character. That doesn't mean that others don't see virtues in them though. They're agile, they're creative, but yeah Idk if they've found anything that would make others admire them. It's like looking at some stranger who passed by you on the street, no big deal.

Ohhh the sibliiings, I haven't talked about them much here, huh? To be fair they developed a lot kind of recently and spontaneously, but before that I didnt think much of them beyond placeholders

Summary:

Lufe: Very caring, and it kinda overwhelms her when there's conflict, not very clingy though, and yeah... pretty fearful.

Sinyat: more capable than he thinks he is, not too superstitious? idk hard to tell, pretty quick-tempered, oh my god if you knew.

Lufe

5 - caring: YEAH she's super caring. She's rarely open about it, though. I mean, Sinyat knows that she supports him, but she extends this caring nature to others as well, and she also assumes good faith in other people unless proven otherwise. She thinks... she isn't a bad person for having to fight her way through life, right? It's pretty much the thing that's kept the mantis tribe standing as far as she knows. She's got a right to defend herself and those she loves... but so do others. She wishes she could deal with conflict better, and maybe she'd show this kindness more openly.

10 - clingy: Kinda neutral on that one. She doesn't strike me as someone who's clingy, but honestly if she feels validated by someone she will grow very attached to them (looking at Harsata here, oof). But overall, she isn't very clingy.

25 - fearful: YEAH A LOT. See above in the first one. Her biggest fear is that she feels like she's pretty much on her own, and she wants to do the right thing, but what is the right thing to do in a world that's so complicated? And does her opinion even matter when she lacks more experience and others don't listen?

Sinyat

44 - capable: This guy :/ I mean. Yeah he's capable. He's pretty damn smart really and he wants to show that off in whichever way he can. It kinda sucks because people around him mostly focus on his flaws, and since he's very clumsy that´s... a lot. He's clever, proactive, but just a bit too impulsive. I wanna boost his self esteem ngl

21 - superstituous: Again not sure. His tribe isn't one to pray to gods or anything of the like, so that sort of thing doesn't cross his mind. However, he's at that stage of life where he's trying to make sense of what adults expect of him and he's very confused about the mixed messages he gets from people, and lowkey thinks some people just plot against him at times.

16 - quick-tempered: YEAH WHOOPS. I mean he gets frustrated really fast, he doesn't take bullshit from other people and he's not very patient when he thinks the situation is pointless. It is easy to find him and Lufe just, arguing about everything and nothing at all. He tries to keep a calm front but he won't doubt to speak his mind. He is Very Smug whenever he wins the argument though, or whenever he gets his point across and people agree with him.

Summary:

Kennedy: very nitpicky and reliable, not ambitious at all

Tori: super attentive towards friends, somewhat superstitious and either very helpful or not at all.

Harsata: not messy but still not organized, really blunt but not rude, not too soft

8 - nitpicky: YEAH he is. Poor guy needs everything to be perfect or he will freak out. He needs like 10 back ups for plans and sometimes he prefers to have a second or third opinion to ground him a little.

9 - Reliable: Very much so! He got his job for being someone trustworthy and reliable to get things done. And to him that's easy because he has practiced for that.

4- ambitious: Not very :/ He's trying to get by and while many would envy how far he's gotten in life, it is not a position he really aspired to have. Really if anyone else could do his job he'd be very thankful

Tori

18 - attentive: They tend to be super friendly and come off as attentive. They know everyone's name at the Spire, know where to find them and such. They're quick to notice if a friend is feeling down. They're not great at following boundaries even if they're very sensitive about their own.

32 - helpful: DEBATABLE. As a guard? Uh, they do their job, it's fine but still not very proactive. They also won't help if they dont think you deserve it. As a friend? Yeah, bro, they're committed to helping where they can and being reliable. Just for them c:

21 - superstitious: Never thought about this one but I think they would throw themselves blindly to a situation because they think things will work out in their favor by themselves

Harsata

43 - organized: She doesn't need to? She'll focus on what is in front of her and then figure out what to do next. It works, as long as she follows a routine its fine. So, not messy, but also not that organized

14 - blunt: She is both a bit cynical and also not one to sugarcoat things so... Yeah, very blunt. Is she needlessly rude? Rarely. She's working on that, but sometimes feels like being too tactful doesn't matter that much in the end.

12 - soft: She doesn't get attached to people easily and isn't exactly kind, but she's still a good listener and pays attention to others. I feel like her way of being "soft" is more like... making sure that other people know when she is impressed or proud of them.

3 - clumsy: Sinyat, no doubt

12 - soft: Laucu is so soft I want her to hug me. Dearest too ^u^

27 - anxious: (answered here) but it's Kennedy, Lufe follows somewhat close.

29 - fair: Harsata, also [redacted City OC]

31 - pessimistic: Kennedy

36 - bold: [redacted City OC]

40 - spontaneous: Laucu, maybe Dearest

Clumsy: This is Not the first time I call out Sinyat for this but my boy is pretty fucking clumsy. It was mostly plot convenience at first but now that he's grown on me I think he is just impulsive and doesn't have the fastest reflexes but still tries to pull bold moves, even if he fails. The first narrator can be clumsy too but certainly not as much as this kid.

Soft: Laucu is the one that has the softest way to approach people in general. She is super kind and he will be the one to be more understanding of others. Also Mosskin are so soft auaauauau. Dearest is also up there but again, this is because that character fills the role of a lover, so of course they will be remembered fondly.

Anxious - Already answered. Kennedy is more anxiety than bug. But I guess Lufe also deserves to be called out here LOL. Her mind races because she tends to overthink and has a few pretty big fears. She is also a little afraid to voice her opinions and honestly, the fact that she has done it in writing already is kinda impressive.

Fair: I think I called Harsata fair once, and that fits. She pretty much chose her lifestyle to be able to make her own choices more freely, because she is pretty strong on the mindset of understanding others before judging them. Granted she absolutely has her biases but she can mediate.

Pessimistic: You know I'm thinking about Kennedy a lot with this ask game and he deserves it because out of everyone I've kind of neglected him lol. So I guess... he is pessimistic in the sense that he feels a bit hopeless, and it is related to the responsibilities he has. Shit won't get solved unless he and the others in charge who are left do something but the whole scenario is looking grim for a while.

The other fair character could be [Redacted City OC], and it's because they're driven by the need to get justice for them and many others. I believe they're fair in the sense that they put the wellbeing of groups over individuals.

EDIT: Oh it was n1 actually! and Yeah that makes more sense lol. They're usually the most level-headed and more sincere when it comes to being fair, which is likely why I tend to put them above Harsata lol

Bold: This one goes definitely to [RCOC] because they're definitely not one to back away from their goals, they speak their mind out loud and they willtake risks if it seems worth it, or they will make it worth it.

Spontaneous: Laucu, mostly because she's very creative! He will get innovative ideas and that always served her well. Dearest is also a candidate, they knew how to spice things up and make the best out of situations. Again, they're more of a concept right now but they were what make things bearable for [spoiler]

OH god do Not reread it there is probably a lot i wanna change (not that much but also augh my writing was weird) I can ramble more over discord heheheheheh. Thank you for asking!

The fic in AO3 had a writer's note at the end with me saying chapter 9 would update on july 15th and huuuuuuuh. I've written part of it but I'm not ready to post yet.

5 - caring:

Oh everyone cares about something and someone but... probably Lau or the Caregiver (Shisk) fit the most. Laucu's gone through a lot and his takeaway from life is that kindness is what moves the world. The Caregiver is... someone who needs hope for the future, but as her title suggests she does care deeply about others.

30 - optimistic:

Thing is, currently the optimistic guys are the ones who base it on false beliefs, and the same with the pesimists. I... think the most optimistic one was "Dearest" though. Were they the most optimistic one objectively? IDK, but they sure were an anchor for their partner in difficult times and they sure perceive them that way. I also think that [redacted City OC] is optimistic but kinda angry right now.

38 - fun:

They're only as fun as I can make them, to be honest. Fun to write? Oh, I recently found out Shisk is super charming. Fun as in "nice to be around?" Probably Tori and Laucu though they're both on opposite ends of the spectrum.
