when you bagged a baddie by being your weird little self (you cannot tell me this wouldn’t have happened-Francis talking abt weird fungi nonsense during one of their strolls- and Noemi finding herself giggling at this odd pale man)
weird mushroom family 🍄 🧺
Angel + The photo of Buffy he keeps in his book
Angel | Allen Francis Doyle | 1.01 "City Of"
Mexican Gothic doodles. Left side is a scene from the book, right side is post-canon.
obviously would never criticize individuals for this but man does it grind my gears when ppl universally depict characters as conventionally attractive. especially when the character is canonically unattractive and ESPECIALLY when those characters are non-antagonists and/or women
“i know he’s supposed to be ugly but i find him appealing so i just pretend he’s hot 😊” i am praying on your downfall.
(generically beautiful art of Ugly Character) who is that and what did you do with brienne the beauty
“well they’re not actually ugly, they just think they are because they have low self esteem/the narrator perceives them that way” i am killing you with my mind
like please it is not subversive or feminist or “improving the character” to take a creator’s interesting choice to make a likable character also absolutely chopped and instead headcanon them as attractive. if nothing else it is an incredibly boring decision. definitely my biggest pet peeve in fandom spaces.
they wrote doyle off the show because if they hadn't, he and angel would have started kissing and the writers weren't ready for that
