#FortCornwallis, tour pt1 🇲🇾 It's always nice to see first hand some things that have played part in #History, especially those of your neighbouring country, one that was also colonised by people that didn't get much sunlight. XD Entrance fee to the Fort is RM20, quite expensive for what you will see (and not see) inside. It is going through some renovations that started couple of years ago (forgot the exact year) and would take 10 to 15 years to be completed. Part of the entrance fee would go to the project although some also come from the Federal State and UNESCO. #GeorgeTown is a #UNESCOheritageSite after all. I hope funds would be abundant so the project could be finished earlier. They said this was the place where Sir #FrancisLight first landed. The guy, as I learned, was the founder of the #BritishEmpire, #BritishColony of #Penang. Explains why traffic in #Malaysia goes through left.
