Look, Listen, Learn: A Year of Noticing is a seasonal collection of words and images designed to inspire a connection with the small wonders of the natural world.
A downloadable calendar, ready to print or use on screens, each month of Look, Listen, Learn features a short text and an illustration, along with a prompt encouraging readers to create their own reflections on the world around them.
A collaboration between illustrator François Vigneault and author Jaimie Franchi, new updates of Look, Listen, Learn will be released seasonally, with instalments of three months coming out on each solstice/equinox throughout 2023. The creator of ‘Titan’ discusses his newest collaboration with Abed and Rashad Gheith, Justin Roiland and Michael Tanner, which arrives in stores from Oni Press this week.
#FBF: A graphic novel, Titan, by François Vigneault ’13 that has its origin story in a Reed course on comics!
As both a transfer student and 35 years old when François enrolled, he credits the college with “opening his eyes to other literary backgrounds” and speaks warmly about writing his senior thesis with Prof. Gail Sherman.
As observed by interviewer Josh Cox ’18 in Reed Magazine, "The story is as preoccupied with culture clash, class conflict, labor relations, and police brutality as it is with romance."
