Just in case the full thing never sees the light of day, here are my anthro takes on Franco and Gooseberry!

Gooseberry is Leucistic: Partially lacking pigment in parts of her body, resulting in splotches of white (including her face disc).

I don't have much else to say about her... Geese are the obvious choice of animal for her, but I wanted something a lot fuller. But Futterman would be a white goose still!!

Franco is very self indulgent as Lamanchas are my favorite goat breed (I have 2!). AND since I work with goats I can add a lot of random details!! So the rest is under the cut lol

Dwarf + Standard = Miniature, Franco's mother was the dwarf and his father the standard. You can't breed a dwarf doe (female) to a standard buck (male) because you risk the kids being too large for her to carry- Resulting in complications, babies and/or mom dying, etc. Poor mama.

Wattles: Skin tags/tassels appearing on some goats throats, no function... some just have them. We called them "goat jewelry"

Bottle Jaw is a symptom of parasitic infection (such as worms). It appears as a sac of fluid under the jaw, making their chins look fatter.

Disbudding is the practice of killing the horn bud on young kids before they have a chance to grow- Often done with a disbudder/disbudding tool (Hot iron that cauterizes the wound + kills the bud.) If the bud isn't destroyed fully the horn will still grow, but improperly. These are called "scurs". Scurs can be dangerous for the goat depending on how they come in. Some spiral in on themselves and grow into the animal's skin, while others form lopsided or only partially grow.

He would actually have a really pale famacha but I didn't draw him that way whoops. The FAMACHA scoring system looks at the mucus membrane/waterline in the eye of small ruminants to determine levels of parasitic anemia. Basically if its pale that's bad- The worms are stealing all your blood. If its red/pink thats good, because you have all your blood to yourself.

Milktooth caught another rat!
