Episode 148

Vince sighed internally.  Every time he'd passed Matt for the past three days, there had been a picture of the same woman on ostentatious display.  Matt would leave his phone face up on the table with her picture, or turn his monitor in such a way that Vince would be able to see.  He even left his wallet open so Vince could  see the picture it contained.  Either that or he was showing off an expired card for a free holiday latte from Starbucks. 

 "Alright!"  Vince barked.  "Who is she?" 

 Matt had been slowly eating a plate of spaghetti in his tortured way.  He nearly choked on a noodle and coughed violently for several minutes before being able to speak. 

 "...w-who?" he finally gasped. 

 "The woman.  The one you've been showing off for the last week." 

 Matt brightened up.  "Oh, you mean this?"  He feigned surprise as he pulled out his phone and showed the picture yet again. "That's my new girlfriend, Francesca." 

 Vince paused for some length.  Matt sat on pins and needles, awaiting the judgement of his ersatz older-brother.   Vince nodded.  

"Alright, well, cool.  Do I get to meet her?"
