It’s official, I now have a new favorite gothic musical that I really can’t stop thinking about! For those of you that follow me, this is a bit different than what I usually do since I also really like musicals alongside my other interests. This is inspired by @earnkeen ‘s animatic character designs and art for Victor Frankenstein and for the Convict/the Creature (only I genderbent them, calling Victor, Victoria, and the Convict, well,,,,,the Convict bc she has no name) from her recent stunning animatic for the musicial Frankenstein on youtube (not the Mel Brooks one) which I have a feeling might interest more people to check it out bc after listening to the musical score, I picked up a copy of the book to start reading during my term break in a couple of weeks! This musical is really something so criminally underrated and it portrays everything so well. My favorite songs have to be An Angel’s Embrace, Amen, the Prelude, and the Amen Reprise. Even reading about what some people take away from the book with its themes is so beautiful that it makes me love this musical even more. I’m probably gonna go and immerse myself into even more goth lit bc I haven’t since The Picture of Dorian Gray in high school so wtf is wrong with my late ass lol asdhjfjafjkajsdfhkj The designs of Victor Frankenstein and the Convict/Creature belong to @earnkeen The world and characters of Frankenstein belong to Mary Shelly
