Who's Writing This: Part 1
This is an idea I had a while back where I give you guys and gals a background glimpse into who I am and for how long I have been writing about wrestling. When most people are asked what their first memories are as a kid they say all sorts of things, none of which I can name, because my first memory I can remember is watching WCW Road Wild 1998 on PPV. For the next 16 years following that night I have loved this business and absolutely nothing will sway me from feeling otherwise. I have grown up a fan of this sport, and even a super fan of this sport; so much so that there was a time when I could say I hadn’t missed an episode of Monday Night Raw in 6 years and that I hadn’t missed an episode of Ring of Honor on HDNET from September 2009- 2011. To brush up on some of the knowledge I know and other things that I pride myself on that I have done. I can speak knowledgeable about “hooker” like George Hackenschmidt, Frank Gotch, Ed Lewis, Orville Brown, and many others. I can name practically every companies first World champion excluding some Independent companies. I have seen more hours of wrestling than I would like to share and double that for the amount of wrestlers I have seen debut and compete in matches. I also take pride in the fact that I helped teach many people about the sport I love, including some knowledge they wouldn’t have known without me. Let me just mention here that I don’t usually express my knowledge of the sport openly, because I more so try to hide my knowledge from people who may not share my passion. Also I don’t claim to know everything and I never ever will say that, because I don’t and I love continuing the learning process. Enjoy this ride as you learn about the person who’s been behind the posts you’ve enjoyed for a little over a year now. I hope can appreciate this as I allow you to take a look at me: a true mark, nerd, super fan, guy in need of a life, there are a lot of things I can be called because of all the knowledge I know about this sport, but I don’t care because I am damn proud of all that I know about the wrestling business and nobody can or should want to change that. Even though a year has passed my goal is still the same to hopefully give you a history lesson that you actually want to learn.
