Hello. Remember your Jasico post where Hades asks Jason and Frank why he should let them dare his children? Well… I raise you, over protective big brother himbo Zagreus. How do you think he’d get won over? Just a fun idea 😁thanks for listening.
Jason immediately gets booted because Zagreus cannot stand Zeus's children. Then he finds out that Jason backtalked his own father in front of everyone and starts howling with laughter.
This does not make him like Jason, but he lowers his dislike down to 92%. It was initially at a 95% because Jason was the first kid who didn't squirm at the idea of going on a quest for Pluto.
(The Romans might like him better than the Greeks, but he's still the god of rhe underworld and as much as they love money, it still freaks them out).
Then Nico talks about nice Jason was after Eros forced him to come out and it goes down to a solid 91.5%. Through a series of behaviours, random sweet anecdotes about Nico, the fact that he was extremely fucked up by upper world gods demanding a billion things without any payment (Pluto gave cash money at the end of his quests) or reward, all that torture, the fact that he's a good puppy, is slowly relearning how to be a person without godly restraints holding him back and basically rejected what was demanded of him by becoming some kind of priest or whatever (idk what it was, but yeah), it drops down to a firm 90% and wavers occasionally back and forth but stays there.
But Nico likes him a lot and he sees value in Nico and in Hazel unlike most of his past siblings, who inherited their father's paranoia and expressed it on people who were easy to be scared of, so Zagreus tolerates him.
Frank is different. He thinks Frank is fine. He's nice. He doesn't like that he gave Hazel his stick to protect, even if only for a couple weeks. He doesn't like that Frank is meek - his siblings are all incredibly self sacrificing and he'd kinda like someone to start protecting them for once. When Frank ups the confidence, he'll start tolerating him and sometimes agreeing to let him join on the family picnics but he will make an entire flowchart on how he will torture and kill Frank if he fucks over his little sister.
Frank's sole devotion to Hazel though (as he is, as we all know, Hazel-sexual) is a winner winner chicken dinner though.
Frank makes a comment on how can he be so violent when he's the god of life, just a curious question really, and Zagreus immediately responds with, "Life's a bitch and so am I." Frank nods and mentions how he sometimes wishes Mars wasn't his father (there's a rage in him that he hates, and a bloodlust that appears during fights that makes him wanna cry sometimes) and Zagreus is like "I don't want children" and then laughs to himself as Frank stutters over himself trying to explain what he meant.
Much like Jason, Percy is booted out of the running almost immediately but this based on the sole fact that he's pissed off Hades so much and Zagreus does not approve of people who try to beat up his dad or people who hurt his siblings (inadvertently or not) so Percy is just.
Percy has no chance and shouldn't even try to befriend him, Zagreus would eat him alive.
Zagreus himself doesn't actually care about Poseidon because he is a self-proclaimed asshole who understands that's he's a terrible person and has never once tried to excuse his actions, other than explaining them, like that he drowned this entire boat because the waiter was rude to him. Zagreus very much appreciates this blatant honestly and so Percy's disapproval is solely based on him being him and he's very annoyed about that, because come on - his dad sucks, why can't you hate him over his father like with Jason??
