CD release party of the new Wes Montgomery CD/LP “ In the Beginning” on Resonance Records held at the Jazz Kitchen in Indianapolis on May 11, 2015. Pictured are Zef Beldman, Resonance producer, Robert Montgomery, son of Wes Montgomery, and Dr. David Baker,Chair Emeritus, Department of Jazz Studies, Indiana University. An incredible night of music and stories. Dr. Baker told a story of when Wes Montgomery was playing in an all-white club in Indianapolis in the 50′s and Count Basie and Sarah Vaughn came to hear him.
