''...This is not what you think it is, 210. It's just a damned anon magic kiss meme thing. Nothing else.'' Grumpily, the Franky(?) leaned down and placed a soft kiss on Marlise's lips.
Marlise kept composure when he explained the situation. Standing stiffly, she allowed him the gesture, cold and indifferent.
“I hope you dont mind I smell like death and basement everytime I come back, though. I can change my clothes when I do....or dip myself in caramel to get rid of the smell x3″

[] - Our muses are good friends from different countries. When their homelands go to war, they suddenly find each other on opposite sides of the battlefield, and are ordered to kill one another. // the symbol doesn't show up but I couldnt just miss the angsty thing with da war theme in it

“Franky- I’m sorry…”
Bradley coughed and more blood spurted over his friend’s uniform.
The pain increased with every shudder, every twitch but he couldn’t will himself to stay still - his muscles spasmed under the severe stress.
All around him people screamed and bullets whizzed through the air. He thought he might’ve heard a yell of traitor somewhere in the noise but it didn’t phase him.
Not like the painfilled gaze of the man he had tried to save, by stupidly running in front of a bullet. It had tore a clean hole right through his chest and lodged itself deep into its target anyway.
The man that wore the enemy’s uniform - and his best friend.
They had met around two years ago, when Bradley was visiting Germany for the first time. Talk of war had flitted around uneasily but most people remained hopeful and therefore it didn’t cause much panic.
He had tried hard to learn the language, but eventually had to settle with a few broken words and a guidebook with which he embarrassingly pronounciated every syllable until his conversation partner understood him. Not many people spoke English, but it was always a blessing when they did.
He had met Frank Meier at a local farmer’s market where he stayed with one of his friends during the trip. Bradley had woken up to the smells and noises and curiousity got the better of him.
The tall man selling flowers, homemade cakes and jars of caramel(!!) understood as much English as Bradley understood German, yet as they carefully stumbled across phrases and gestured oddly with their hands they formed a unlikely friendship.
Bradley tried to learn more German and when the next market rolled around, he was surprised with Frank meeting him with a few English phrases - from there on they were able to start simple conversations.
What started as an awkward encounter grew into a firm friendship that lasted through letters and packages even after Bradley returned home to England.
Then the war broke loose. They could no longer stay in contact as much as they wanted to.
And all of Bradley’s wishful dreams of meeting Franky again after the war was over crashed when he saw those familiar beryl eyes on the battlefield. On the other side, standing against him and his home troops.
He gasped for air and couldn’t help the cry of pain as the wounded flesh tensed with the movement. His body was pumping adrenaline into his veins as hard as possible and yet it wasn’t enough to help - he was slipping into extreme stress.
“Frank- Franky-” He choked on the words and his gaze refused to set straight so he could look at his best friend bleeding out right with him.
“I’m s-so sorry- I’m sorry- I’m sorry…”
He cried.
Hot tears rolled down his cheeks and mixed with the splatters of blood and dirt.
His parents will never recieve another letter from him and they’ll know what happened.
Franky’s garden, the one he had talked about in so many of their letters, will eventually be overgrown with weeds or destroyed in one of the falling bombs.
Just like that.
Their lives came to an abrupt stop with one single shot and there was nothing either of them could do but watch it fade from their grasp.
Franky’s hand moved, curling around Bradley’s fingers weakly in an attempt of comfort.
"Es wird alles gut."
He murmurs hoarsley, barely heard over the rapid gunshots, the screams, the tanks, the shouts of their enemies and fellow soldiers.
The once bright blue eyes were now dull, empty. It won’t take long for them to lose their glow completely.
“Don’t leave me alone.” Bradley begged.
The hand holding his squeezed lightly and with a final, calm breath, his friend spoke the last words drowning out in the chaos.

A thought about them that they’d never share: ‘I’m scared to live without you.’First impression of them: “An….odd…unnerving man who likes to take pictures of me my shirts. He probably went insane in that Cube he was trapped in. In that case, being in the Office won’t do him much good.”Favorite thing about them: “His blush, his intelligence, how he calls me ‘Sir Stanny’ in that shy way of his, his bravery and his good heart.”Least favorite thing about them: “He often blames himself for crying or being scared, and he always apologizes to me when he does. I hope I can teach him that it’s nothing to be ashamed for, that it’s perfectly fine to break down sometimes.”Hopes for their future relationship: “Happily married and at peace.”

A thought about them that they’d never share: ‘I used to think you were better off without me.’First impression of them: “Some psycho who got stuck in the Office and would kill me if I bugged him hard enough. He’s probably an arrogant asshole judging by his super neatness, but at least he’s hot.”Favorite thing about them: “He makes me feel safe and understood no matter what. I know that even if everything turns against me, I’ll have him by my side.”Least favorite thing about them: “….he can smell and sense my pranks before they hit. No- just kidding. Hmm. I don’t know. I think he tolerates too much of me sometimes, instead of telling me to get my shit together, even if it’s harsh.”
Hopes for their future relationship:“Finally married - a grand wedding filled with an endless amount of flowers! - living in a nice house with our little kids, Marshmellow, Cocoa and whoever else decides to join us~!”

"Abuelita? It’s me, su nieto Stanley Lucas."
The caretaker gave the couple another friendly smile and bustled out of the room to clean up in the bedroom.
A frail woman sat by the open window, sewing up a few holes in an old doll dress while a large siberian cat sunned itself on the window sill.
At Bradley's call, she put down her work and spun her wheelchair around to stare at the two.
For a moment, nothing happened as his grandmother eyed him and Franky curiously (but edging towards suspicious).
Bradley's smile fell a little.
He was certain his grandmother would still recognize him, old as she was, she had known him since an infant and despite the fact that he had fully transitioned (with thanks of Maddison's dimension), he didn't think he'd be unrecognizable.
He still had as many freckles as he did before and in terms of height and clothes, he hadn't changed at all.
But then the woman's eyes softened and she smiled a little.
"Stanley. Pensé que nunca le verí otra vez."
Bradley let go of Franky's hand to step towards her, and gather her into a tender hug.
She hugged him back, not as tenderly.
"No, ahora estoy aquí. I’m sorry I couldn’t come.”
He pulled back, shooting Franky a small smile as his husband took a seat across from Bradley's grandmother.
The cat ignored them all.
"Quién es?" His grandmother asked, gesturing towards Franky.
"Mi prometido." Bradley beamed.
"Prometido? Eres conseguir casado?"
"Si."
He glanced back at Franky again, then blushed realizing he had locked him out of the conversation completely.
"Er, este es Franky Meier. This is Franky Meier. My prometido, future husband. Él es alemán, he's from Germany and he's the greatest cook and the best gardener worldwide. Contamos con un gran jardín~"
Franky smiled.
“Muy bien, querido.”
His grandmother turned away, and called for the lady who was cleaning in the other room.
“She wants to chat for a bit more,” Bradley murmured to his fiancé. “I can tell she’s really impressed by you!”
“There’s nothing to be-” Franky began, a bit bashfully as Bradley led him to the couch.
“Nonsense! Shush.”
The caretaker wheeled his grandmother over to them and set a can of tea and some cookies and fruits on a plate on the table in front of them.
Meanwhile, Bradley had picked up the conversation again, and while it was mostly in Spanish, it was obvious from his wild gestures and the women’s smiles, he had picked off where he left off, which was excitedly telling them just how impressive he thought his husband was.
