Over 1.5 year ago, before the finale episode aired, I made this video. To be true, I wasn't expecting Carrie to be in a good shape or even alive in the series end. Somehow it felt wrong to post this video back then as the atmosphere around the finale was pretty positive. Now time has come.
Carrie made a tough decision and left Franny with her sister and her family at the end of season 7. She decided to go on mission again. Missions, especially on Homeland, often don't go the way they were planned. We knew it. She knew it. Yet she went.
In the end, she's alive, still working secretly for the US, but living far away in Russia, knowing she can never return. Publicly, she's a traitor to her country. She has to play this role to survive. But she still loves her daughter Franny. And this is something that will never change. No matter what will ever happen.
