(It’s angryprinnies over anon): 1, 2, 7, 17, 24, 50, 92 for the DnD warm up ask. Let’s take Osco for this one. :)
Wow, that’s a lot...Sorry it took so long for me to get to it! Let me think...
1. If your character wasn’t an adventurer, what livelihood would they lead?
Considering the whole “noble family” background, I’d assume they’d likely have some sort of political position, or at the very least, involve themself in their community quite a bit. Ooh, maybe like a lawyer? Do lawyers exist in high fantasy? Though considering their ridiculously chivalrous spirit they’d probably take a lot of pro bono cases and it wouldn’t exactly be much of a lucrative business, haha.
2. Who in the party would your character trust the most with their life?
Whatever healer is part of the group, most likely. Because any good tank and/or DPS respects and cherishes their goddamn healer, okay?
7. Describe your character’s current appearance: clothes, armor, scars they’ve picked up along the journey, etc.
Ahh, I’ve been meaning to draw them for so long, but armors are hard and also I can’t bring myself to draw at all, haha...
First things first, pretty much full plate armor. It’s got some dents and scratches, but it’s sturdy and they always keep it polished and well-maintained. They always wanted to wear heels on a casual basis, but to be fair it isn’t super practical while donning a heavy armor and riding a goddamn horse all the time, so they don’t really do it much (though they’d probably have some killer looking legs). They used to have this little...capelet? shoulder? thing? with their family’s crest on it, but it tore during some combat or another and the remaining (mostly unrecognisable) scrap is tied to their trident as a little ornament. Their clothes are otherwise pretty plain, consisting of pants and a loose blouse most of the time. The more comfortable and easy to wear under their suit of armor, the better.
Obviously Osco also has their fair share of scars, some more prominent than others. I like to imagine there being like, visible spell scars in some places like magical burns and whatnot. One particularly prominent scar is on the left side of their stomach, where I’d assume some pretty big beast chewed off a big chunk that probably includes at least a kidney and had to be extensively mended through magic. The bite marks remain visible there on both their front and back, and the skin that had to be recreated to compensate for what was torn off is a paler shade and still somewhat sensitive.
What else...Well they grew out their hair a lot over time. Before it was short and kind of bushy, and now I’d say it reaches a little past their shoulder? Honestly the way I drew it last time kind of made it look like some kind of long, messy mullet, so like, I wouldn’t take that as much of a reference, haha...
17. What is your character’s favorite season?
Their homeland is typically covered in snow year-long, so Osco really enjoys bright, colorful seasons like spring, though they are kind of weak to the heat, which isn’t super surprising when you think of all the armor they’re constantly wearing.
24. Which other player character does your character find themselves having the most in common with?
Considering Osco hasn’t exactly been a player character in several years, I feel like this is a pretty hard question to answer at present. Back then, however, they did surprisingly get along with the rogue assassin of the group, especially in terms of being ridiculously knowledgeable of nobility while also absolutely despising what the upper class stands for. It was a strange, but endearing sort of relationship.
50. Who in the party would your character prioritize rescuing, in dire circumstances?
Honestly they’d probably be the first one to step in front of danger to ensure the the rest of the party gets a chance to run away and survive. They’re not the kind of person to want to leave anyone behind, no matter how shitty they’ve been towards them.
92. What does your character hope for the afterlife?
Peacefully watching over others, hoping what they achieved in their lifetime has helped at least one person find comfort and happiness.
