freakingmuse asked you:
Prompt for you :) ME3-FShenko. Shepard wondering/fearing Kaidan might want/get his own ship and not serving under her again now that he technically outranks her. Kaidan reassuring her that he very much likes serving under her. I'll leave it up to you how you might want to interpret this...
Less porn-y than I expected, actually.

Headcanon accepted! This was beautiful and sad at the same time. And to be a bit random: I never knew the word verboten is used in English too. Made me stumble a bit to suddenly read a German word.
It's not super common, but yeah, verboten's well established in the English language. (Saying "it's an English word" doesn't sound right.) Don't know if that's because of English's Germanic roots or the fact we'll happily rip whatever we need from other languages, but there you have it.
One of the nice things about Miranda's POV is that I have more freedom with vocabulary versus, say, James, or one of the alien characters, where I make a point of stripping out English idioms and cliches. I'm just starting to experiment with creating new alien idioms, but they're a fun challenge that add a lot to stories.

Well, at least nobody would’ve called him boring then? Iamreallynotsurewhatijustread
I'm not sure if I should be amused or worried by the amount of use my "what the fuck did I just write" tag gets.

Even following my self-imposed rules, there are at least three requiring smut reblogs. SO! I am open to Kaidan smut suggestions. Any pairings or ideas, guys? Ask away. Just no requests for pegging or electrical play, please.*

Well, some people took your idea to heart and answered tagged hate with smut. It has been … an eventful day in the Shenko fandom.
TBH, I found those to be among the classier reblogs. There were a lot of good, non-smutty responses, but there were also a few that gave me pause. (Not anyone following me, BTW.) But everybody wins with smut.
But I don't think we're discussing the real issue here, which is why all the wank in this fandom happens at times that are inconvenient to those of us living in PST. JFC, even the wank in my kmeme fill happened while I was asleep. And I just feel like we, as a fandom, should come together and have a dialogue about this, maybe set some kind of schedule?
*because I'm already writing those.

Good (and sad) to know I am not the only one doing this :/ What you describe happened to me more than once and it’s exhausting. I always wanted to join the BSN but avoided it because of the hate. I joined Tumblr ‘cause I thought I’d be better here…
I think for the most part it IS better on Tumblr. I find forums overwhelming sometimes and more troll-infested. As often as we have issues in our Kaidan tag, I DO feel like this site is a more enjoyable place than BSN. And it is that alone that keeps me sane some days. :)

It is ridiculous and sad because stuff like this is the reason why i toy with the idea of leaving tumblr from time to time to enjoy something in peace. The thing is, I want to share my passions but stuff like this is just taking the fun out of it.
I honestly can say I know how you feel. I admit wholeheartedly that I take weekends off from Tumblr because I need to. Because I am hesitant to login on my days off for fear of seeing something like this morning's post and having it put me in a bad mood all day. I say do what you need to do to make your experience what you want and what you need from this site and this fandom.
freakingmuse replied to your post: It’s not even funny how much I have had to abuse...
Same. Also my Tumblr Saviour list is getting ungodly long. I have to scroll a few times to get to the bottom :|
And that's just ridiculous, isn't it?! To not be able to just enjoy using a site because people are purposely doing rude things, and in order to go about my business I have to literally block someone forever. It defeats the purpose of being on here and connecting with other fans. :(
cellostargalactica replied to your post: It’s not even funny how much I have had to abuse...
ughh i feel like i started everything today. i should have just stayed out of it, like i usually do. :C
Actually, no. You didn't. Don't take the blame on yourself. And certainly don't worry about causing any upset.
The Kaidan fans did not start this little rift. The OP did. And even though she intended that post as satire and humor (and I can tell that she is sincere in her apology), I am getting really tired of the whole "it was just a joke" line from everyone. People really don't know how to joke properly. Because we should all be laughing if it is, in fact, a joke.
THEN we have people after the fact coming in the tags and making things worse again by purposely posting stupid shit. It is just... I don't even. :\
