Fanart/a present of my darling Freakstar by Darkpaw-lights
"Gotcha Turtlestar!" "Oh no! The mighty Freakstar has taken me down!" ----- Freakkit playing with arguably his best friend, Turtlepaw. Turtlepaw is a few moons older than Freakkit and loves playing with the kits. Freakkit loves her. She's a huge part of the reason he turns evil, more on that later. For the record the TentClan camp is under the big top. So the kits wouldn't see the sun until they become apprentices which is why these cutesy pictures are so dark.

Funland Super Edition: Freakstar’s Sideshow
Chapter 1:
“Tell me the story again, Ghostpool!” Freakkit bounded up on stubby legs to approach the elder. Freakkit adored the old tom’s stories. Ghostpool had been a warrior of TentClan since the dawn of time it seemed. As Posterstar’s father, Ghostpool had been around long enough to have seen the leader grow from a small kit to the size of the massive cat he was now. Freakkit hoped that Ghostpool would be around to see him become leader. The old white tom scrunched his nose in confusion.
“What story?” Freakkit placed his large, malformed paws on Ghostpool’s thin leg, his face scrunched in annoyance.
“You know the story!” He whined, “C’mon! Tell me the story again!” Ghostpool chuckled.
“Only if you scratch my back, riiiight there.” The old tom pointed to his bony shoulder. Freakkit gladly scrambled on his back and kneaded the old tom’s back. He had no problem helping the elders if it meant storytime. They liked having him around. Twistback often would wrestle with him because of how young the other tom was. Flaxtail would teach him things like how to pounce. But his favorite was Ghostpool by far. The old tom would always have a story for him. Whether they were made up or real, Ghostpool didn’t care. “Now...THAT story?”
“Yes THAT story!” Freakkit mewed, “Please please pleeeease!”
“Okay okay!” Ghostpool laughed, “Alright let’s see...long long ago, before there were even any clans, there were four cats who roamed the park. This was back when the park was filled with twolegs! Lights! Sounds! Smells! Voices!” Freakkit stopped kneading and listened, eyes wide. “The best of all the cats was Tent. The twolegs called him that because he hung around the tents in the freakshow part of the park.”
The white cat adjusted his shoulders. “And the twolegs who lived in the freakshow worshiped him. Mostly just because he was kind to them. You see twolegs aren’t very forgiving when someone looks different. The twolegs would jeer and yowl at the freakshow twolegs just because they happened to be very tall, very short, or even have two heads.”
“There was a twoleg with two heads?” Freakkit always questioned this part of the story. Sure, like all of the kits, he saw the posters on the fence but he never really believed that to be possible.
“Hush and let me finish,” Ghostpool said, “So anyway these freakshow twolegs would be very kind to Tent. Tent passed this kindness down to his clan. And do you know why?”
“Because no matter what a cat looks like it’s always good to be kind to them!” Freakkit meowed, “Even if they look like me!”
“That’s right, son,” Ghostpool laughed, licking the top of Freakkit’s head, “And trust me, you ain’t the freakiest cat to ever grace TentClan. I ever tell you the story about the tallest cat to ever live here?”
“No!” Freakkit was ready to sit down for another story when his ear twitched.
“Freakkit! Freakkit where are you?!” Freakkit groaned.
“That’s Malloweyes,” he chuffed, “I’d better go.”
“Come back anytime, Freakkit,” Ghostpool said, “You know...I think you’re gonna do great things when you get older. I do indeed.” Freakkit grinned wildly and bounded out of the elder’s den towards his mother. Despte his chubbiness and malformed paws, the kit was very agile, diving in and out of the legs of other cats and sliding to his mother’s paws. Malloweyes was such a pretty cat, Freakkit mused, he couldn’t believe that his father had left her to become a kittypet.
“Where have you been?” Malloweyes said frantically, “I was worried sick!”
“Aw shucks Ma,” Freakkit said, “You know I was only hanging out with Ghostpool.”
“Ghostpool fills your head with those silly stories!”
“They are not silly!” Freakkit smiled up at his mother who winked at him.
“Come now,” she said, “Leopardpaw caught you something nice to eat.” Freakkit squealed and bounded after his mother.
“Is it a vole? I hope it’s a vole. I like voles!” He squeaked and chattered and Malloweyes chuckled.
“Why don’t you wait and see?” She purred. Freakkit nodded politely and followed his mother to where the apprentices were. Leopardpaw puffed his chest and pushed forward the prey to Freakkit.
“This is for you!” He chirped, “I caught it myself!” Freakkit meowed in delight. It WAS a vole!
“What do we say?” Malloweyes said sternly.
“Thank you, Leopardpaw!” Freakkit closed his eyes in a friendly blink. Leopardpaw grinned proudly.
“Your welcome!” Raggedpaw approached the group next, placing his large squirrel on the fresh kill pile.
“You sure you can eat that whole thing?” Raggedpaw purred, “It’s bigger than you!”
“I’m gonna grow!” Freakkit protested, placing a paw on his vole, “You’ll see!” Raggedpaw gently pushed the kit with a paw. Freakkit purred and growled, bouncing to his feet and biting at Raggedpaw’s throat with tiny, non-lethal bites.
“Oh no he got me!” Raggedpaw coughed, “I’m dying! Tell my mother...cough...I love her.”
“Quit it! I didn’t bite so hard!” Raggedpaw rolled over on his back and coughed again. Malloweyes laughed and rolled her eyes.
“You two stop it,” she scolded, “Freakkit eat your vole.”
“Okay Mommy,” Freakkit sighed. Raggedpaw ruffled his fur with his paw.
“We’ll play later, okay?” He said.
“Raggedpaw!” Freakkit’s head lifted as Raggedpaw’s mentor, Windtail called to him. “C’mon! We have to get ready for the evening patrol!”
“Nag, nag, nag,” Raggedpaw grumbled in Freakkit’s ear, “She’s going to patrol even when she’s in StarClan!” Freakkit snorted a laugh as Raggedpaw walked off, followed by Leopardpaw who was walking to Posterstar, his own mentor. Freakkit hoped one day Posterstar would mentor him! That would put him on the path to being a leader.
“Freakkit!”
“I’m eating! I’m eating!” Freakkit gnawed on the vole, tasting the sweet flavor of the creature. Sure, it was harder to chew than milk but boy was the flavor good! “One day, I’m gonna catch one of these for you!” Malloweyes purred.
“One day you’re going to be the best warrior TentClan has ever seen, my little one.” Freakkit swallowed and purred, rubbing against his mother’s cheek. One day, he thought, I’m gonna be the greatest leader TentClan has ever seen.
