"Give me a sign!"
Wonshik’s outburst was sudden and it’s context was briefly lost to Jiyoon until she had finally registered his request. Moments prior the young blonde casually mentioned her knowledge of American Sign Language - an intelligence stemming from past events when such a form of communication was necessary.
Jiyoon assumed the man wanted only for her to speak American-English with her hands.
The young woman made a motion with her right hand that was usually understood as ‘stop;’ however, in her particular situation, the signal stood for the singular “your.” Jiyoon continued making signs, slowly in hopes of him at least grasping vague hints. After putting together motions for various words such as “name;” “causes;” “me;” “think;” and “dragon,” she allowed her arms to rest at her sides as she repeated the silent statement once more, but in Korean.
"Your name makes me think of dragons."
