A Review of the Appreciated - Podfic Rec from The Foxhole Court
I feel like there should be more love for podfics in this world. They’re like sweet, sweet stories sung to your ears by dedicated fans, and that’s worth diamonds ! Some of the podficcers blessing us with their voices are, in my humble opinion, very close to being professionals ! It’s the perfect way to enjoy stories of your beloved characters while commuting to work, waiting for an appointment, or simply if you’re too tired or lazy to read. So here is a little compilation of my favorite podfics in this fandom. I might make another recommendation list later, since it is so hard to fit everything in one single place…
This is only my own personal opinion, but overall I do recommend all those. All of them will be Complete, unless I mention otherwise.

Fear No Fall [Podfic] by Rhea314 (Rhea)
(three part, around 10 hours total)The pirate crew of The Fox find an unexpected treasure in the form of a captured merman named Neil. It might bring them more troubles than riches.
This is the andreil mermaid and pirate AU of your dreams, and you know it. I have recommended this fic before, and you may have heard of it already, so why not give it a try ? The sweet, sweet voice of Rhea does not disappoint, and will fill your soul of deep feelings with her talented narration. So join her for this memorable ride with our foxes, wether it’s your first time discovering this story, or a pleasant rediscovery of this lovely adventure !
Read it for : the sweet smutty third part ° ͜ʖ ͡ – ✧, the exasperation in everyone’s voice at Neil’s antiques, a chaotic ride through an action-packed and nerve-wracking adventure, soft tears during the emotional parts narrated that won’t stop your reading, saltiness coming right from the sea.

(around 1.5 hours) A sweet soulmate Jerejean story where your soulmate’s initials are tattooed on your skin, where Jean still becomes a trojan.
You’d think having it spelled for you would make romance easier, but it wouldn’t be fun if either Jean or Jeremy made life easier for themselves. This might take longer than it should, feelings are not as easy as advertised…
Read it for : An actual french accent for Jean❤, entertaining character studies, the fluffy feeling of Jean waking up from a nap, figuring out communication without the manual, healing past scars.

(10-0 min) The recorded number of times someone hit on Neil Josten and got nowhere, and the one time Andrew didn't even have to try.
I thought listening to Neil being oblivious was even more hilarious than reading it. The situations he finds himself in are priceless sometimes, and you pity the fools who try flirting with this Andrew-googles wearing idiot.
Read it for : A good laugh, Neil being very much Neil, that warm fuzziness in your stomach when Neil loves Andrew, agreeing with the foxes as they discuss their team mates whereabouts, people making a fool of themselves trying to flirt with an Andrewsexual Neil.

(20-30 min) The story of Nicky and Erik, with a little healing and a lot of learning each other’s heart’s shape.
This is as much a small Nicky and Erik anthology as it is a Nicky character study. The peaceful reading will lull you into Erik’s loving gaze, with it’s relaxed pacing. If you liked Nicky already, prepare to fall even deeper for all his flaws and virtues.
Read it for : A bursting of your heart overloaded with fluff, Nicky picking himself up and gluing himself back together, the soft contemplation of a loved one, maybe some moisture in your eyes if you are feeling especially emotional.

(around 2.5 hours) A little look into Neil and Andrew's relationship after The King's Men where they learn to touch, to talk and to trust.
This was the one that made my heart ache in the best way. You don’t feel like you’ve had enough of Andrew and Neil being nothing together ? Then let yourself be lulled into a state of blissful sugar overdosing with this podfic. Trust me, you won’t regret it !
Read for : THEY LOVE EACH OTHER SO MUU-UUUUH-UUUUH-UUUUCH, grasping at your chest, hurt from too much love, Kevin who still obsess over Exy, the soft sides of having found each other, successful communication.
