this bread was too big for my biggest bread knife
i made these sourdough buns for pulled pork sandwiches out of 100% freshly milled flour. i sifted some bran out, so I wouldn't call them completely whole wheat, but boy are they tasty.
I was talking to my grandpa a couple weeks ago about his struggle to make bread (in general, but especially whole wheat) rise. I felt like taking a detour from my regular mostly white loaves to try to perfect my whole wheat. This attempt didn't spring much in the oven, but I'm pleased overall with everything else.
