Here's the thing about baking: despite what everyone says, it's actually not that unforgiving at all. Like yeah depending on what you're doing it can be very sensitive to small changes, so if you fuck up you're likely to get something different than you intended, especially if you're doing something pastry-ish, but as long as you're vaguely in the right ballpark it's genuinely really difficult to fuck something up so badly that it's completely unenjoyable. Don't let the fearmongers get to you!
