DUDELZ of the Damned | You're Invited
GREETINGS LIVING WEIRDOS OF TODAY AND ZOMBIES OF TOMORROW!
IT IS, DOCTOR CLARKENSTEIN!
All Hallow’s Eve has descended upon the small town of Clarksburg. Vampires, ghosts, monsters, aliens, and these are just the locals! They’re out in force along with all the children dressed in creepy costumes to score some sugary sweets. Now as anybody in town will tell you, there are two prime places to bag the biggest haul. First is Downtown, the entire street cordoned off as the small businesses that line the block hand out candy. Yet it’s the second spot that’s considered the best in town; Wonder Ziggy’s Drive-In Cinema! His Trunk or Treat party is the stuff of legends! Guests wandering the four lots are treated to king sized bars, lollipops bigger than their heads, free B-Movies rolling on loop, and for those brave enough to stick around after sunset, scary stories! Ziggy opens the floor to those who have a terrifying tale to tell. Being the weird bunch that they are, naturally there’s no shortage of spoopy stories from the Clarktoons. Here is one of them now depicted as a DUDEL of the Damned.
You’re Invited. At least that’s what it said on the letter from Freddy Fox, mascot of the Matt Whimsy Company. Being his designated biographer, free from the vulturous lawyers that stalk the internet, occasionally a bone is thrown my way in the form of press kits and invites to corporate events. In this case it was for Freddy’s Funky Fright Fest at the Whimsyland Resort in Celebration, California. It was a bone too big to pass up. Luckily it came with extra tickets, meaning my fellow theme park enthusiasts could join the creepy (yet ultimately child friendly) celebration. This is what we call a HUGE mistake. For not five minutes in and Crazy Hannah has to go and touch a cursed artifact owned by little Millicent, the ghoulish girl featured prominently in the park’s haunted house attraction. All at one, swinging specters and peculiar phantoms materialized to possess the guests. Including Hannah herself, becoming Bucanere Becky of the Seven Seas Club. Making matters worse, Croc’s off in Louisiana chasing after monsters there, meaning it’s up to me to fix this mess!
Speaking of messes, you didn’t expect us to go a year without dragging my buddies into these DUDELZ did you? Up first is @princessofDisney27 with a sketched based off Mickey’s Mysterious Masquerade. For those of you not huge Disney Parks dorks like Han and I, this Tokyo DisneySea show sees the titular mouse and his friends enter a haunted house before Donald touches a cursed spear and gets all but the main mouse possessed. Yes, seriously. Most of you might’ve seen Minnie dressed as an Egyptian Queen. Heck, perhaps some of you have read the awesome fanfic by @steamboat-promises or even the lame one I did. Putting that aside, for years it’s been my intention to make something based off this show and this is the end result. The Masquerade dress is based on an older sketch based on my friend, the S.E.A. Club logo was replicated by hand, and the pirate ensemble was thought up by yours truley. Unfortunately I forgot to include KH-style Keyblades, which was half the reason Hannah was picked in the first place. Oops. Ah well, I challenge her to design those herself. Otherwise, I hope she enjoys this as do the rest of you! People who actually speak and write Japanese can tell me how I butchered the text on the bottom, by the way. XD
MAY THE GLASSES BE WITH YOU! BONUS QUESTION; Have you ever heard of Mickey’s Mysterious Masquerade?
