Armand Assante as Odysseus and Freddy Douglas (aka: Frederick Stuart) as a very "zesty" Hermes in the NBC/Andrei Konchalovsky Greek mythology miniseries The Odyssey, originally broadcast over two nights on May 18th and 19th, 1997. Adapted from the epic ancient Greek poem the Odyssey by Homer, the miniseries was number one in the ratings the week that it aired and featured an all-star cast which included Bernadette Peters, Isabella Rossellini, Christopher Lee, Greta Scacchi, Vanessa Williams, Eric Roberts and Geraldine Chaplin. "Creature effects" were by Jim Henson's Creature Shop, and the special effects were created using both animation and CGI.
