Fredericksburg, Texas, December 16th 2023. On Saturday we went to Fredericksburg for some Christmas shopping, we had some German food, went in a few shops, went to a cafe, and of course saw the lights in the park! This painting came about as a result of another “CAR STOPPER” event driving down Highway 290. I was just outside of Stonewall heading to Hye when I saw this beautiful storm barreling in. I pulled over to take a few photos before the magic of the two skies colliding lost its impact. Feeling the air go from warm to cool and smelling the rain on its way brought back wonderful childhood memories.
