ive decided that sierra has a lawyer in the family she gets to help fps case pro bono because he sure as shit cant afford legal help

and once bunny finds out what fps doing she takes it upon herself to invite fp to live with them. the offer extends indefinitely of course but fps really insistent upon finding his own place and living on his own so. but of course she and artie still help out the best they can when it comes time for fp to move out and they help get him situated in his new place :)

also this is the most put together fp has ever been in his life because he has to be. if the judge catches the slightest wind of him slacking off hes gonna go back to his father and fp would literally rather die so his life becomes nothing but work, school, and football. no more partying no more drinking no more wild late nights out. and its stressful of course having to juggle everything especially with how young he is but also hes never been happier. he doesnt have to walk on eggshells anymore, doesnt have to worry about his dads fists, being yelled at for no reason, all the emotional abuse... its like a weights been lifted off him

i just think the key difference between him emancipating himself vs senior throwing him out is that it would be fps choice. and like... he still would have a lot of trauma stemming from his dad not wanting him (because i honestly dont see senior putting up much of a fight to keep his son) but the fact that fp got himself out of that situation and walked away on his own terms would be good for his self esteem. and having to really work at keeping himself on the straight and narrow would also do wonders cuz ultimately hes a person who really needs structure in his life and the routine helps keep him out of trouble. i feel like he’d come out a more stable individual... (although this is not to say once he turns 18 and is no longer in danger of being sent back to his father... if he ended up with the serpents because he was struggling with money... and things snowballed from there... but thats if we wanna be sad lmao)
